Have to admit. One of the only few new NFS games that captured the spirit of the original but updating it for modern times. And this is someone who LOVES how loud Carbon's GTR is.

@Daniel Parker naw, not the engine. This m3 has a meatier, lower rumble to it, like American v8s. The real gtr racecar had a higher pitched, higher revving v8. The transmission sound tho is pure secks.

I friggin love the high pitch hissing that comes from the car along with the roaring of the engine. I literally bought a better engine, but put it away and returned to this one just becase the sound brought joy to my gameplay

@@goodtimesbro9635 since 2012 the developer always used the street version or M3 E46 of the car with an i6 engine. The original sound from 2005 was most wanted and carbon has to sound from the original racing version of M3 called M3 GTR that competes under the FIA GT championship. if u say the sound isn't the same as i6 you are completely wrong because the M3 GTR always used V8, not i6 engine. also if u hear something like a flute sound when u reach 5th gear that is called straight cut gears that mostly applied on GT racing cars, u can hear it on every car, especially FIA GT3 race cars. so it's obvious why they choose i6 engine sound because it's from M3 streetcars, not M3 GTR race cars

Not even a bit. Are you guys joking? The shortcut gear sounds more like a gas tube is releasing the air out. And the engine sound is not even close. You should check out the mw 2005 sounds and the j.Hans Stuck's bmw m3 gtr video. Then u'll realize

@@yuanmanilag1648 The NFS MW 2005 sound is from TVR Cerbera, while this is a different sound but not from TVR Cerbera like the NFS MW 2005 one or the NFS Carbon that got mixed with Jaguar XK.

The only time where they used the actual M3 GTR sound is just in 1 cutscene when we got even the cockpit view from the car, despite they did also the mistake that they used the interior from the street version and not the race version. Same in NFS Carbon.

I think nfs heat has achieved the sense of speed and aggression after a long time. I think it's just me or all the other nfs games have lost that essence of speed (after nfs carbon of course)

It’s really cool to see this again. This was the first video of the m3 gtr released before the games launch and it sent me into shock with hype for the game. Heat is the best nfs game in recent memory and I’m so mad at EA for scrapping the best team they’ve had in years.

@@HeroManNick132 The Mostwanted 2012 BMW M3 GTR is a real BMW M3 GTR. If you look closely at the interior, it has a roll cage and buttons. Sure, the engine sound is i6, but that's unavoidable. And NFS 2015 and NFS PAYBACK are fake BMW M3 GTR．

@@zdendas13v2 actually mw is lot more realistic, carbon uses a different engine sound file for the revs and the sound is off by minus 2000~ rpm it revs really low, on most wanted you can clearly hear the engine going up to 8500, the louder whine don't make the sound more realistic on carbon

In the newer nfs games this car lost it's legendary sound, but i have to admit it still sounds good. The sad thing is when you change engine, it loses its whine 😢

The sound from NFS MW 2005 is nostalgic and very relaxing, but this one still is incredibly on point to the real life sound of this car. Both are awesome.
