Need For Speed Hot Pursuit: Carbon Motors E7 Concept's Last Pursuit, Removed From Remastered

The full car list for NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered was released quite some time ago and unfortunately three cars were removed. One of it is the fastest Highway Patrol Class in the game, the Carbon Motors E7 Concept. It was removed because the car and company pretty much stopped existing. Let's give the E7 Concept it's final pursuit on Fight or Flight, Cut To The Chase & Double Cross Hot Pursuit/Interceptor events.

Since that mission was from the super sports DLC for console exclusive; and never meant to be playable in PC; They used for an placeholder the dialogues of the Corvette ZR1's interceptor pursuit mission instead.

@Matthew Caughey Parts is also a problem. Carbon Motors claims that they would use a BMW inline-6 clean diesel for powertrain, which isn‘t a problem a big cities since parts are easy to get. However this is a problem for rural, small town PDs because they can‘t source parts as easy as the Big 3, so if one of the E7 broke down, they will have to wait for months for the parts to ship instead of buying parts right off the shelf.

This was easily one of the coolest cars in the game, with its futuristic and imposing appearance and all of the integrated lights. I loved running Point of Impact Hot Pursuit with the E7 over and over again. I’ll miss it. :(

I always thought the police lights actually being part of the roof was a smart idea as it helps make the car more aerodynamic instead of having to install those light bars which can cause more drag.

If I am not wrong most police don't even get up to those speeds anyway. They usually cut back and let air support handle it or they let them go in hopes that less danger to the public is caused.

The company built a factory here in Connersville, IN. I believe it went bankrupt in 2013 or 14. The E7 was an absolute tank, my dad drove one and loved it.

I'm gonna miss Carbon Motors E7 Concept. Sure, it may have been a concept car, but that doesn't change the fact that it was undeniably the fastest Highway Patrol car in the game by a longshot. Heck, not even the Ford Shelby GT500 could beat it, it was that quick. And as somebody who used it in the original, I can confirm this thing is an absolute BEAST of a car to drive. It's acceleration is great, amazing speed considering it's size, heck it even turned and drifted considerably well for it's size! But...all good things come to end. Carbon Motors went bust, so it's pretty unlikely this thing will return...I doubt it'll come back as DLC, either, since, as I mentioned earlier, Carbon Motors have just ceased to exist...

This one Rapid Response mission, "More Haste; Less Speed" was a massive pain for me because I always kept hitting the walls in the 911 Targa 4S. My best time with said 911 was 3:10:81 (Gold medal - 3:10:00). Then I picked this car, not even expecting to finish, and instead I got 2:40:78.

It was cool, and the only one ever built sold for $74k at an auction. Interestingly enough, it was initially funded by the same program circa 2008 that funded Tesla and Fisker, but only Carbon Motors died out; even a damn hurricane couldn't kill Fisker. There isn't a really good record of why they failed, CM blamed Obama (yes, really) for cutting their funding, but there must've been much bigger problems with their company, it's really telling they couldn't woo investors to save them.

Ugh I thought this game sucked and it is one of the worst NFS but ok if you really wanted so here you are: Race: *Volkswagen Beetle* for techical tracks, *Koenigsegg Regera* for highways; Offroad: *1965 Ford Mustang Fastback* ; Drift: *Lamborghini Huracan Coupe* ; Drag: *Volkswagen Beetle* for short drag races, *Koenigsegg Regera* for long with straights races; Runner: *Volkswagen Beetle* ; Speedcross: I think again the *Volkswagen Beetle* . Happy now???
