Oh man this is emotional

I've been seeing from other folks that this trailer hit harder than expected, and that was the same case for me. What intrigues me about this trailer and the final version of Undercover is what Undercover could've been. I recently watched Colorshed's review of the game and he mentioned that the game was originally supposed to have branching story paths. I'm assuming it would just be the choice of either sticking as an undercover agent or ditching the law enforcement life and making one of the gangs you infiltrate your new home. Either way, intriguing stuff. What's the point? Imagine that context but with this trailer. What if this is the undercover agent going after someone who they crew close with? Someone they would genuinely consider a friend despite what their friend does for a living? Someone who when the walls of the gang come crashing down, they'd want that friend of all people to escape? But the undercover agent puts their duties above everything else, and regrettably, they make their move. Hence the dramatic music, slow-mo, silence when the takedown happens, and the agent stopping and turning around instead of just continuing on to escape the cops. A sort of "Oh my God, what have I done?" moment. If Undercover could've managed to make characters that the player could've been attached to, and included the original multiple endings idea, (along with other fixes like graphics and such) this game could've been great.

When undercover could have been a good game

the driver in lancer could be the player and chase is in the porsche , attempting to escape are betraying the player but fails . the music at the end shows the cooperation between chase and player throughout the journey only to end in a bad way

This still makes me sad as the ending suggested the end of black box :(

So, the specialty of NFS Undercover was supposed to be the Takedown events, that we see on Jobs but not as usual tests around the map? C'MON, the premise could've been that we could be contracted as hitmen to eliminate some street cars, not just as Chase's job!

I thought this was a trailer you made yourself with some pre-rendered cutscenes from Wii's Undercover (don't know why I thought it was from there). Point is... this is very early into development stage. Sort of reminds me of the pre-rendered trailer for Most Wanted that came out in 2004. Cool stuff!
