there's not much to capture on the plains of alberta, especially out there, pretty boring land

Cool on spotting the rig . Did a similar stunt with a rig with a busted steering box . Gitterdun !!!

The tank build was pretty cool. Very similar to permanent concrete tanks

You're getting to run a lot of different rigs lately; do you mind walking through how these bed trucks are operated one of these days? 🇯🇲love the content

I do have some content from Cypris. I could look it up and maybe compile a video

I'm sure there are others you work with that "know what's next" and have the interest and drive to " step up to the plate and make it happen", but if it's like it was when I was working the field...they are often hard to find when needed. Your turn to bat and you knocked it out of the park...A thing of beauty, Man. I could see the quality an pride in your work in your early videos and was not the least bit surprised when you had your choice of employers when Cyprus shut the doors. I'm thinkin' your old man would be pretty proud. 50 thumbs up from me. 👍x 50

Thanks man, I’d like to think I’m doing good. Definitely know what I’m doing but still faced with new challenges regularly and I think that’s what keeps me in my line of work. No doubt my father would be pretty proud of his son

There at the end that was either a plane flying supersonic or a meteorite that was burning up coming through the atmosphere.. Love the video there Spot Bot 9000.

I missed it, might just be glare on the camera lenses. I’ve seen it before from street lights and thought I’d caught some UFO. But then it happened again and matched up with passing street lights

Great video but… leaving the winch drum the way you did drove me nuts 😅

The man was stayin' on top of a lot of a lot of stuff and held his own. Personally, I generally don't worry about line lap on light loads with a 7/8" or 1" cable on the main. Those empty skids didn't hurt that cable a bit and it saved time and allowed him to keep everything where it needed to be...when it needed to be there. Efficiency is the term I'm thinking of. If he'd have been reeling in a draw works...different story...but he wasn't and I'm pretty sure, wouldn't.

I’d have to look again. This amount of cable doesn’t spool right it should be somewhat centered when it’s at the winch sucked all in. It’s on the far side of the drum where you don’t want it. Need to cut off a bunch to make it right. Plus the band brake is non existent so makes it worse, but on light stuff no problem and won’t kink the line. And the number 2 winch same deal. Plus I got a greenish swamper so I don’t want to loose him a finger, better off left alone

Hey Jarrod Pretty cool seeing disassembly to re-assembly glad you got it all on vid, is this the first harpoon in existence ?

Curious do those cables ever snap
@TimelapseTruckerRTOT7 ай бұрын
sometimes yes, mostly power out the winch before that can happen, inspecting the hook and nub that keeps the hook on regularly. a winch hand knows his cable since he looks at it all day. usually if it does snap its at a kink or at the bell where the hook is, wires break after time where the hook pulls against the cable. will need to slip line regularly depending on how heavy of stuff you lift

JC, how wide is the Bed Truck? 10 ft? Sorry, 3 meters?
@TimelapseTruckerRTOT7 ай бұрын
It’s under 10 so I don’t need to have a D sign. The 400 inch beds are 10 maybe 10.6. I think brownies only 9.6. Will have to check
