It took me a while, but I think I’m starting to understand cooking clickbait. If the title says only 1 ingredient needed, that means it requires 3 ingredients. If it says just 2 ingredients needed, that translates to 3 to 5 ingredients needed. And if the title says just 3 ingredients needed, that means 5 or more ingredients are required. For people who cook such delicious looking things, their math sure is sketchy.

So it's a basic white roux, without the butter and with sugar added. I'd put the 50g of butter back in (gives it more flavour). Then you can add flavourings to it as well, for example, chocolate powder (e.g. Milo or Nesquik), instant coffee, or alternatively, add strawberry or apricot jam during the cooking for a delicious fruity custard mousse. Or instead of vanilla use lemon essence and lemon butter, or almond essence and shaved almonds. The possibilities are endless.

I just tried making it. I used lactose free milk since I can't eat lactose. I also put Splenda instead of regular sugar. I hope it still tastes good. 😮🤞🏼
