Looks like a very handy tool for this technique, will take the mess out of it and the waste of overstarching the entire shape! Thanks for the handy video demo. I plan on sharing it!

Hello Paula:) Thank you so much for the awesome tutorial:) I am wondering about the leaves. Those are my biggest struggle. I have the edges beautiful and then the sharp points are more like round corners:((((((((( Would you mind clarifying? Thank you so much. I love your work:)

Great tutorial ! I'm wondering...re: hexi shapes...can one "English Paper Piece" using your method? In other words, will your method of starch and ironing be strong enough to adhere to the template and therefore actually replace basting ? I ask this because EPP joining, does manipulate the template a lot. IF however, your method IS indeed strong enough to do EPP...goodbye basting !!! Please let me know if you have tried to EPP with your method. Warm regards !

Paula Storm I found your starch brush but can't find the fabric turner / holder while ironing
@yarnexpress9 жыл бұрын
So misleading! This is just prepared edge applique using a brush, starch, & ironing which has been around forever--nothing to do with needle turn. Sorry!
@PaulaStorm9 жыл бұрын
yarnexpress Thanks for your comment. Yes there have been variations of this technique around for a long time. My technique has a few differences. But my main motivation in creating this video is to show those that haven't heard of it a super simple and easy way to create the look of Needleturn appliqué without all the stress and hard work. Thats why I gave this video away for free and didn't charge for it... I get emails every day from people who have now tried this technique and love it!
@chimlyn17 жыл бұрын
yarnexpress why be so negative? Just because it's something you know how, I for one found it very interesting and informative. Nobody forced you to whatch it!
