Sat stitching with you today Karen. Love all the ideas you have for creating this piece, and not deciding this instantly makes it more fun!🎉

My method of stitching full coverage patterns is... no method LOL Meaning, I don't stitch with any of the methods that have a name, I just, well, stitch. Starting from the bottom left (nothing crazy about that though I rarely see anyone start from there ) and then I stitch perhaps six or eight stitches in a color, depending on the confetti, could be more if the "path" is clear, then I change to another color and stitch another six or eight stitches, then the next color and the next... I don't grid, I don't pay attention to boxes or columns, I just stitch the colors in like you are doing here, not going cross country or anything, just filling up the fabric in a fairly orderly fashion (hate too many ninja stitches in the middle) but still randomly. I call it "tetris" because often the outer line of the stitched area can resemble the line of a tetris game. The great thing about that is, I can pretty easily recognise that line on the chart as well even when I haven't been good at marking off the stitches and don't get lost. Yeah, don't use pattern keeper or anything else either, a pen on paper charts and rudimentary marking in GoodNotes if a PDF chart. And I do all my stitching in hand without so much as a hoop, like Sarah the Stitching Mommy.

I know it's crazy but I stitch large projects with an 8 inch hoop top to bottom. I find it easier if I roll up the fabric and hold it in place with a clamp.

That is a beautiful pattern. I enjoy watching and trying different stitching techniques. It keeps these large full coverage pieces from burning out my stitching bug.

This is going to be beautiful. I know that Artecy offers this pattern as well in a small, medium, large, and cropped version, which are charted for 14, 16 & 18ct. The Cross Stitch Studio one is huge.

It wouldn‘t be you, if there wasn‘t something different in the way of stitching a different chart with a different program. Thank you Karen and have great Easter Holidays.

doing this piece in panels is a great idea. Something tells me you are going to be satisfied with just the first one ;) It has everything in it the picture is trying to communicate.

This is a lovely pattern. I just ordered this pattern from Everything Cross stitch. Hope to find the gridded fabric at my local store. If not I will have to order it. Also need to get the threads. Are you using DMC called for colors? How long will it take you to finish it? I am so glad I found your channel. I will be following along with you. Happy stitching. From Colorado.
