Cutted or changed stuff: Dude who got his head cutted off in previous episode right before death was able to activate Martial Art like Gazef here. Angels in novel were fleshy usual ones. There are a ton of Ainz`s Spider-assasins around village. Gazef was hinting that he doesn't mind to use more violence towards Ainz to help him but decides to step back once he understands that Ainz stronger than him

Those 6 great gods are very prominent figures of why humans were able to survive and rose into power in the new world. What I like about this anime is that the New World is way complicated. Things happened and it leads to the current event. It is not talked about but more implied. Like how Ainz rhetorically asked "Who taught you these magic"

@@residentmagnum Not really. Only Surshana, the God of Death, is said to have been killed by the Eight Greed Kings. It's implied that the other Great Gods simply died of old age, most of them being humans and the Eight Greed Kings appeared a hundred years after the Great Gods. Only Surshana, as an undead, wouldn't have aged.

In the story, Gazef, after trying to use the king's reward and hire him as an adventurer, he tried to use the kingdom's recruitment law and finally tried to insinuate that he would use force but almost at the same moment he stopped because he saw that Ainz was far beyond his league, but he did it just out of duty, he has a good character.

The six gods also were players transferred to this world. For reference ainz is level 100 which is max level in game (exept for some bosses) and the strongest of the sox gods was around level 75, gazef stronoff would be around level 30. Edit: Also the six gods came into this world like 6-700 years prior to ainz

[Spoiler Alert] . . . . . . . Just some quick reminder, Six Great Gods should also be on the higher end of the level range, some of them should at least be at level 100 as well since it's the normal range for most Yggdrasil players. Surshana as one of the Six Gods has the same build as Ainz, which implied that player is obviously at max level 100. They also have World Items, so they definitely are part of a high ranking guild as World Items are not something one can get easily. Ainz Ooal Gown as a guild is special as they only have 41 members yet own a sizable amount of resources and World Items, on top of good players and being part of the top strongest guilds, but there're still higher ranking ones with more members.

Spoiler ahead: A small background information: There were already other players, who were teleported into this world and some of them had children with inhabitants of the New World. As far as i know, none of the other players is alive anymore, but their offsprings are and their equipment is also in the New World. That is, why the magic of the Yggdrasil game is in this world.

It's never mentionned in the anime, but the reason why Ainz is so cautious, especially in the begining, is because his character is a roleplay build, looks cool and fits his aesthetic, but in game it was pretty mid, so it's normal he expects there'll be people stronger than him.

Starting at 9:40. To answer your question in as few words and spoilers as possible, stuff and magic from the game was magically summoned by some Dragons and stuff and magic gets dropped off every 200 years or so. Lord Ainz and crew are just the latest to be teleported here. Your on the right track with the 6 gods being players idea.

Shadow and overlord has had a crossover before! It’s in a chibi style, and it’s pretty short animation, but it’s where if ainz got put in cid’s body, and cid got put in ainz body. It’s pretty funny!

the six gods are players, they are actually the ones we see ains defeat in the beginning of the show with his clan. When he closed his eyes watching the timer tick down then up, as an undead each tick up were actually centuries passing. At least that's my interpretation

this is a universe that excites, in his world it was a game but he got transferred there. in the story there are others who have previously done so. the game from our reality made a true connection to that reality through the game. but i don't blame you, ur an anime watcher, not a manga reader. the amount u learn from manga is worlds above just watching.

It really does kind of suck tho that quite a few scenes from the manga that actually help explain some of this stuff ended up being cut due to time constraints. Not to mention they supposedly completely changed or added events to the anime that actually never happened in the manga.

Those 6 gods they talk about was 6 players that got transferred in the past, being able to past the limits of the humans in this new world and become way stronger was something that no human is able to do in this new world, well their descendants can, but we are talking about just a few of them exist Also the humans in this world that can't use magic, train to use "Martial Arts", that's like the warriors magic or something near to that

Ah. This was when Overlord was interesting. Now Momonga is just a murder machine. He bored to fuck with being in charge, misses adventuring with his old crew and makes up for it by killing everything in sight. Usually in horrible ways. Stopped watching ages ago.
