Hi Neelima , Yes you are right Bali is a wrong method followed due to ignorance. Even sankaracharyar stopped bali at Kamakshi temple and installed sri chakram to pacify her anger. Also Balipriya means giving bali to all our vices, attitudes and becoming a nirguni. Thank you for the tour it should be useful to everyone who wants to visit Kamakhya.

For the question of Bali. Are all the human beings Vegetarians? Some prefer eating meat or they are non vegetarian. It is the preference of certain type of humans to have food of what their liking is. Some like sweets, some hate sweets. Not all humans are same . Agree? The universal mother who is the mother of all living/ non living things , not know this. ?In fact she is the one making you ask that question. She is beyond all this isn't it ? Then why this Bali. In Tantric practices there are various energy forms of Ambal. She takes a UGRA form to kill Bandasura , shumba nishumba demonic asuras. When the energy form is UGRA , the energy form needs BALI. To get deeper understanding YOU need to pray to her. By looking at it from a normal perspective it can easily be emotionally claimed as wrong or right.
