There is combat in this episode I swear. We're back here over on some more Baldur's Gate and today, finally, we get the rizz episode. Or, lack thereof rather. Idk dude I can barely talk to women in real life you think I'm gonna be some crazy pickup artist in a videogame? Anyway in other activities for this episode we break in and rob some poor wizard's house, beat up some minotaurs, and Asterion finally admits he's a vampire to the surprise of literally nobody. Good times.

I have been really enjoying your playthrough. I have played CRPGs since I was very young so I often forget just how unclear these games can be to new players even to people familiar with the tabletop rules. There were some things you missed in the tower, but probably the only one that might be significant for you is found on the top floor. there is a chair that when you sit on it sets your strength to 21, If you break the chair, you can take one of its legs as a club that sets your strength to 19. Its not an essential item but I used it for almost the entire game on my first playthrough.

Some tips CRUCIAL: 1. Holding left-Alt highlights everything you can pick up around you so you won't miss any loot like in Arcane Tower. Also there are many rare herbs and mushrooms you can find while roaming through the Underdark (for potions and stuff - it's optional) 2. You also might wanna explore the map around Blighted village (the windmill place) - there is a great deal of exp to the right (you'll find a bridge with a gap you can jump over) and one of the greatest act one quests to the left (a road downhill to the hmmmm let's say forest). You really need to level up (to 6 or 7) before act two, it won't be fun to be underleveled in that place, like reeeeally frustrating NOT CRUCIAL BUT NICE: 3. If you want to find some more tanky companions who are great at melee - two of them are still out there somewhere (idk what happened to the third one honestly, you've met him near the Grove but he kind of disappeared I guess) 4. It's nice to have a dog just because ;) He can use Help on downed members of your party, so it's useful if you die a lot like me - no need to spend your own action. He is chilling near the bridge across the river between the Grove and the Blighted village (to the right if you walk from the Grove). And he is a really good boy. Great run! Hope you continue having a good time with this thing

good tip to make sure your people are doing good damage, change their stats because their starting stats are trash. you can also change their classes and/or subclasses which definitely helps for Shadowheart and Astarion the most tbh.

Fun fact about the button in the tower: I had to pause the video there for now, so don’t know if the solution comes up later. But the lady that used to live there had a dog and rigged the button to give it steaks. The dog’s dead, so if you graverob its collar and push the button while wearing it, you get a steak.

if you break one of the chairs at the top floor of the arcane tower you get a club that sets you´re strenght to 19. the club itself is pretty meh though useful for a duel wielding build

To add on to what impenguin said, the Club of Hill Giant strength is very useful if you pair it with the Titanstring bow (can get it from the trader in the Zhentarim hideout). The Titanstring bow adds your strength modifier to both attack rolls and damage rolls. Its a really fun combo, only slightly broken, but in a good way. If you give both to Astarion and multiclass him into gloomstalker ranger + assassin rogue, then he will stop missing so much, haha

7:06 idk if you’ve been doing so but Gale can permanently learn spells from scrolls you find so definitely would teach him before using the scrolls on Shadowheart

Astarion is deadly in my playthrough, Lae'zel is the one who misses more than everyone else (combined) despite having a weapon that always gives her advantage lol. I get how you feel.
