Haha, 6 months later I read this from Tobias Forge interview: "A band that I don’t think gets mentioned a lot that’s definitely up my sleeve in terms of what I like would be Negative Plane"

*Imagine Dick Dale & The Dead Kennedys doing Black Metal =).. You can clearly hear what* *they are trying to achieve & the potential is just staggering.. but it just frustratingly comes* *up short.. & 5+ years to record a new album is just not good enough for artist, or fan.*

I can clearly hear that they don't sound like Dick Dale or Dead Kennedys (no "the") at all, beyond a predilection for drenching everything in reverb. This album is a fucking masterwork of atmosphere - one of the finest efforts ever put forth by a USBM band. The aural equivalent of wandering through a cobweb-covered haunted church. They can take 20 years if they need it to maintain that standard.

Dimension Omega I suppose you think you're a metalhead, right? Do you even know how many death metal bands are influenced by the originators of black metal Celtic Frost, Bathory, Possessed or Venom? Wanna talk about 90s black metal? Check out the increasing tremolo picking themes in death metal the past 10-15 years, see how death metal borrows elements from the 2nd wave of black metal. Just listen to Immolation, Incantation, Autopsy, Dead Congregation, Blaspherian etc. So wash your mouth thrice before you say anything about black metal kid, cause obviously you're too clueless to pass judgement on anything.
