I agree. Magik at 3 cost is so flexible. Even being able to just do magik + other cheap cards on 5 feel so much better. And if you save it until T5 you're still protecting yourself from SM lockout plays. I think this was a great nudge to build up some extra location cards in your deck leading into Legion releasing next week!

Yes! They changed so many cards in meaningful ways without killing them that it all feels exciting to experiment with! We don't have 1 deck absolutely running the meta so it feels like a fresh season now where everyone is brewing and experimenting and I'm loving it!

SM and Prof X aren't as big of an issue with this deck as others since it has two ways to put extra power into those locations after they're locked (Surfer and Iron heart). Not hitting negative is tough, but you still put a decent amount of power out in those scenarios with wong, iron man, mystique, and surfer/IH. Hitting negative is a HUGE high roll, but most of my wins are from later or no negative.

Echo is just overall worse. Its only purpose is to prevent Cosmo, so if your opponent is not running Cosmo or doesn't draw it, then it's completely useless. Echo doesn't protect Wong from Enchantress and Rogue, which are probably more common than Cosmo because of Luke Cage and High Evolutionary. And as this video shows, it also doesn't stop Magneto from pulling Wong away. But not only does Echo do nothing for Wong most of the time, it actually makes your Wong lane worse because you give up a space that you could use for Mystique, Iron Heart, Wolfsbane, Silver Surfer, etc. If you were an avid Wong player, you would know to keep the Wong lane as open as possible. ECHO IS A NOOB TRAP!!! I'm sorry but suggesting Echo for a Negative Wong list is brain-dead. Bast gives you extra stats, most importantly for Iron Man. Why sacrifice those stats for a card that does nothing most of the time?

I'd only run echo with destroy to protect from armor and Cosmo just shutting you down

Yep Psylocke would be perfect! Negative on 3 is so insanely strong with a few good draws! You lose out on some of the power (6 if you hit iron man, 4 for hitting negative, etc) so it takes away some of the midrange of your game plan, but the highroll is a bit more consistent!

I think it would be a fine change! There's a few scenarios where you'll lose the extra 1 cost reduction on wong normally making him 1 if hit with negative, but overall I think the core deck would be unphased!

They pushed an OTA change last week that fixed the killmonger bug and a lot of the cost craziness that was happening! Inverted works as intended now!

I do! It doesn't solely rely on getting negative to win, but when you do PHEW your power is through the roof. Locations like storm aren't as big of an issue since you can buff it later with Surfer or iron heart to get the extra reach you need.

Psylocke works well! You don't get the extra reduction from an inverted wong, but it still allows you to ramp into a T3 negative if you have it

Maybe we ruin the storm players fun now by changing the flooded locations :)

Update...I have calmed down. 10 games total. 2 Negatives played by turn 4. 2 drawn on turn 6. It's fun watching people have fun...but it's just not fun for me. Moving on :)

Yes! I had fun toying around with negative surfer last season, but it always felt like it was just a tiny bit off of being consistent. I think the magik addition and not having to play her on 5 opens up so much flexibility for the deck.

This negative deck has really caught on, for better or worse. It's now all I'm facing in Ranked, not just in Conquest.

Zabu is easier to play on 2 in anticipation of a potential top deck even if you don't have one in hand with psylocke it's a guessing game. I know some people prefer psylocke in that slot though!

Funnily enough, I just used this deck (sunspot as I don't have bast :( ) against a c2 deck, I won but only just, it was a really good conquest game. No HE bullshit in sight
