Military establishment has influenced politics in Pakistan since several coups staged. Economist Intelligence Unit rates Pakistan as hybrid regime as reported in 2022. Pakistan follows Westminster System of Parliamentary system. Can the parliament be dissolved for snap elections after dissolution under the constitution ? Is there a 'Reserve Power ' or 'Discretionary Power ' to hold elections in Pakistan ? Pakistan has problems. Political crisis began in 2022 when no-confidence motion against Imran Khan was moved. Economic crisis challenged spectre of defaults, falling currency making imports costly and inflation in Pakistan all time high. Poor governance, low productivity, balance of payment crisis and political unrest are hallmarks of societal issues. Supreme Court's decision to hold elections in Punjab isn"t followed by the ruling elites. The government passed a resolution accusing top court of judicial activism. Truth and transparency are not only dubious but also false statements of raving or bashing are problematic. Don't we know that truth is property of being in accord with fact. But the idea of truth is not followed up in this country. Transparency is property of being open and accountable. Transparency and accountability are key issues in this country and people are still waiting for the solution to problems in our political thought and characterization. Isn't that a bad matchup? What is happening is that devil has more advocates than the rest of the country.
