He was a good philosopher, no doubt, but this was basically already self-evident at the time of his writing (admittedly so, as he literally says it in the last sentence here, "...before our eyes.") AH, however, did predict this before it happened, in Europe, i.e. "negrification of the Rhineland", which I believe were the exact words he used.

That is just how Europeans are. Its pretty easy to "not be racist" when your minorities are... Some Germans, lol. There is some truth to the idea that race wouldn't be all that important if America were still 95% white, but when there is no super majority, it becomes pretty clear just why race is of such importance. Now that European is dealing with large populations of entirely foreign peoples, I think we're going to see a lot more understanding from the likes of Germans or Italians for why America is so divisive on race.

@@techelitesareadisease8816 A lot of us do 'get it' as you say. But there is a difference. Europe is importing American culture, language and its concomitant references. The problem is that they bear no relation to European historical reality. We import your liberal guilt of race and your conservative rebuttal of said guilt, plus the bonus of coloured and white bigotry. To be fair, Europeans tend to champion black bigotry because of the music and Hollywood. Don't ask me why, I don't watch or listen to anything American, like the Rolling Stones, Ozzy Osbourne, Def Leopard, the Scorpions, etc etc. They may be from Europe, but culturally, they are like an 'Irish' American. They're culturally American, but with slightly odd accents. There are many reasons for this absurdity gaining so much traction. To my mind it's obvious. The willing adoption of the cognitive dissonance over American WW2 propaganda. Which informs much of your self-image myth to this day. It's so brilliantly engineered and powerful that even though it doesn't pass even the most cursory of scrutiny's, it is still believed worldwide. As such, the rest of the American nonsense is unvetted and allowed in. American toxic food, memes, music, films etc. The reason American racism is so different is twofold. The slavery of America had a very different complexion for one thing. Which is to say it occurred on home turf. America not only had this, but proximity begets cross cultural exchange. Americans of any colour today are hybrid black/white by language, culture and common reference. It is similar to the European feudal system except in one important regard; colour. The Anglo-Saxons and the Normans were divided by recent language divergence and recent tradition divergence only. Both of which were close enough to be easily recognisable to each. That is to say the language and history were sufficiently similar to overcome any barriers in a very short time. They also looked the same. The Battle of Crecy perhaps illustrates this. The Normans spoke English to the common Anglo-Saxon soldiery. As an Englishman I must say, the humour of those front lines must have been fantastic. Each taking the mickey out of the other savagely. Must have been hysterically funny. Anyway, also, the cognitive abilities were similar. None of these things were available to slave and master in the Americas. Particularly the cognitive element. Well, you have won the culture war, if that isn't an oxymoron. So you are probably near the mark when you say you'll witness more understanding from us to you. Europe has adopted your half black/half white culture. Well done. You'd probably call it progress. I will continue to avoid it for as long as I have breath in my body. Edit; composition mistakes.

Culture did, race didn't. The use of race to define civilization didn't occur until about the 19th century and even Evola acknowledged racialism is a byproduct of modernity in his other works. This idea that a person's race dictates the society or civilization is ahistorical/pseudohistorical and especially anti-traditional.

@@CubZeez Wrong on so many levels. The trinitarian metaphor of the nation state is tradition. Mind, body and spirit in balance brings about cultural strength, physical health and spiritual continuity within a nation state. @Zak Ward how on earth do you make such a leap from mind, body and spirit to race, religion and culture? @@flowrepins6663 it's a game of "what would i do if i were them" once you really know them. right now we are living a life against nature as humans. we are punished by nature the older we get, the sicker and uglier we get. We are supposed to die heroic deaths in our 30s and ascend to the spiritual realm, but instead we are denied that and are made to slave away until we die meaninglessly. The civilizational decline of the United States began after the American Civil War, even American authors of the "progressive era" admitted this. Even so, the United States at the beginning of the 20th century was still a decent nation, without a doubt. Segregation and the Christian values of the American people were what mainly maintained the society. European immigration was very good, regardless of the country. The 'death' of the United States as a nation occurred in the 60s-70s, in the post-war period. From that point on, degeneracy, materialism and hedonism began to dominate American society in a way that had never happened before.
@grellis6483
@grellis6483 17 күн бұрын
But surely that decline in the 60s-70s is traceable to the post civil war period? Personally, I think you too sanguine about the mass immigration of that period. The famous line of the Emma Lazarus sonnet welcoming “The wretched refuse of your teeming shore", is not, in my view, a humanitarian plea but a piece of propagandist literature for an invasion of the US of a people not welcome anywhere else. I can imagine it being used today as we watch the refuse of the middle east pouring into Western Europe. As Freud himself said, his tribe were bringing the plague to America. That plague was in the form of anti-Christian values, financial control, pornography, psychotherapy, and the political harnessing of blacks in order to spread communism within the US. See Diana West, 'American Betrayal' and Dr. E. Michael Jones, 'Libido Dominandi: Sexual Liberation and Political Control'.

I was just reading professor Aaron Gillette's book "Racial Theories in Fascist Italy" about how Evola was instrumental in trying to develop a theory of rascism in Fascist Italy to base their new doctrine of racism on. Evola endorsed a type of "Spiritual Nordism" to be the office type of racism of Fascism and Mussolini endored his ideas for a while. Fascism was not particulary racist at first , but Mussolini was never fond of dark-skinned people and was seemly embarrased about Southern Italians who often had a darker complextion. Very interesting...

Thomas Sowell’s talks go well w this. Particularly his talk about what someone like Evola would consider “negrified” America and how freed southern blacks first lived next to the poorest ghetto European immigrants so they adopted their use of English Ebonics and culture and integrated it and made it its own which we now talk about w the critique of urban youth shenanigans and the denigration of our higher trust society into a low trust society over the decades and waves of multi cultural immigration. It’s intriguing even when not taken to it’s logical endpoints racially, just as a lesson in what kinds of hell neoliberal democracy can unleash on all people in the name of eschatological progress

The blame can absolutely be laid upon America as it chose for itself such a civilization. And he went absolutely microscopic in pinpointing the exact causes of how a civilization like America has appeared (that of the weakness of the Anglo-Saxon stocks in justifying a Protestant existence detached from contemplative asceticism and heroic Olympian action) in his other books. In the chapter of Bow and Club which is posted here, his aim was to show the dystopia of the worthless summation of the soulless American existence, not a "why" which has already been stated elsewhere.

I see where he is coming from, but Americans were characteristically as described before any notable negric influence. Evola seems to lack a nuanced understanding of the American character like M. Grant or T.L Stoddard. Otherwise he would note that the highest European IQ dispersal as well as the highest quotent for European violence both migrated to North America and won the continent. The migration truly did have a positive eugenic effect in addition to a massive net positive globally with the ingenuity coming from that continent alone. In essence, he fell for the anti America meme. That said, USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA [Ad noseum]

I agree with this. America itself wasn't the problem, it just provided the land and resources for (((international capital))) to manifest itself in a more powerful form. In all honesty a lot of these -1000IQ idiot protestants in America who suck d*ck for Israel are actually more "conservative" than Europeans when it comes to sexuality and even religion itself. Talking about modern day America though, yeah its embarrassingly negrified. Even in the PNW.

This is the fundamental flaw in trad thinking; Traditionalists can only be virtuous in direct relation to their society’s ability to safeguard its material needs. Once those members of society go hungry, those so called “virtues” also vanish. In the hierarchy of civilizations, whoever can better foster an environment for technological development (which ultimately translates into military power) wins. This is regardless of race, culture, values, traditions - in real politics, arguments such as these put forward by Evola are nothing but abstract dreams steaming from resentment and fragility

Ideals matter beyond survival. This higher culture is what to reach when basic needs are met in a healthy society, not the least because higher ideals and culture keep society going long term. And what is a powerful nation or society with a primitive culture? It is of lesser value than one with a developed culture. Not just for survival purposes, because to me that is not even the main discussion when we have beyond the physical means to strenght in the west. America is not wealthy because its primitive but despite it.
@gutot8786
@gutot8786 Ай бұрын
@@darklazerx7913 America is wealthy because of its resource rich territory which enabled its military power to grow, control other resources at global scale, developed technology (nuclear bomb!!), became most powerful imperial nation on the planet and continued to attract high caliber talent to develop technology which again translates into military power. Any other explanation you hear from conservatives or liberals is nothing more, nothing less than bs. If you need one more argument - compare american and Chinese culture/values. Regardless of their enormous differences, only the two compete in terms of global hegemony. Now look at their territory and geopolitical strategy. Ultimately resources and technology is what matters. And before you talk about who is primitive and who is not. Search for the horrors of colonialism - higher culture and higher ideals??? Even today, look at the state of politics in the west?? Higher culture?? Where??

@@dashingeduardosuarez In this exploration of Evola’s inner and outer life from World War II into the early 1950s, Gianfranco de Turris, who knew Evola when he was alive and is the executor of his estate, offers a new portrait of Julius Evola and debunks many of the pseudo-myths about his activities during the war. Drawing on personal conversations with those who knew him and new documentation never before made public, including letters from the Hakl and Scaligero archives, the author traces Evola’s activities--including his time on the run and living under assumed names--in Italy, Germany, and Austria from 1943 into the mid-1950s. He shares a thorough account of the Baron’s sojourn at Hitler’s headquarters in Rastenburg, his work for the German secret military services, and his passionate REJECTION of the RACIAL theories that were the core of Nazi ideology. The author outlines Evola’s critiques of Fascism and Nazism and also explores Evola’s disapproval of the Italian Social Republic because it was destroying traditional values in favor of modernity.
