Beautiful story of a love that will keep on giving, helping your daughter to cherish the childhood memory of your neighbor/ Grandpa Ken. Knowing we are special to even just one person helps to create a loving person. Thank you for sharing this man's way of living a happy, brave, and loving life that influenced and inspired all who knew him, and now also those who have heard his story here.

These stories need a solid editor. The title says he did something “TO” the little girl, which implies something sinister. Then it says they looked in the bag and knew the gifts were for Cadi, but it also says the gifts were wrapped. How could they know they were for Cadi if they were wrapped? Lousy writing lessens the beauty of the story.

@@wolfmare50 The story actually says he had HER things or items that BELONGED to her and the parents were shaken, which implies he’d done something sinister. What he’d actually done was buy gifts for the little girl. He’d bought and wrapped 14 years worth of gifts but none were labeled to indicate when they should be given. So again, if the gifts were wrapped but not labeled, how did anyone know they were for the little girl or intended to be given to her over multiple years? The piece could have been very sweet, but was written in a way that hinted at negative events/intent and misleading info rather than what really happened. Parents were surprised or deeply touched, not shaken.

There is dog safe “chocolate” which does not have cocoa. I buy our dog, doggie chocolate chip cookies from Petco’s snack bar which are safe for him to eat. They are people edible too, but I passed on tasting them, even though they smell delicious.
