Neil Druckmann DISCUSSES NAUGHTY DOG'S NEXT GAME!!!
So nearly four years after The Last of Us 2 and its ending we got confirmation that Naughty Dog is working on at least two new PS5 Single-Player Games! Naughty Dog announced the cancellation of The Last of Us Multiplayer Game but confirmed more than one ambitious, brand new single player games that they are working on! After the Grounded II Documentary The Last of Us Part 3 seems like it's coming but it appears to be a ways off! Neil Druckmann recently discussed this new game and described it as really ambitious and hard to make in the Logically Speaking Podcast! This means in my mind Naughty Dog's next game will be a new IP! Could it be the rumored Stray's Cross or something entirely different! The Last of Us 2 ending clearly to me sets up The Last of Us Part III the sequel. Could we see a NEW Playable Characters in a new Last of Us game? Naughty Dog has a big decision ahead in terms of the future! What do you think Naughty Dog's Next Game is? Can we hit 1000 Likes!?

I hope it’s a new ip and I say this as a huge tlou2 fan, I think naughty dog has to reinvent the magic they did with uncharted and tlou so it feels like they are still capable of truly innovating the next generation of video games

I disagree , there's ways to experiment by putting out brand new ip idea or release before trying to drop the perfect ending on what project we already know is so valuable for fans. Maybe a new ip drop first can be the depending factor on how the story concludes in the last of us 3 , reviews and all.

Honestly we need neil to go back to writing games with story at the forefront and not use cliché to push a pro this or that agenda. I know its hard to do as the gaming industry feels like it needs to cater but the true value comes from not being tied down by social justice or inert tropes that really dont work. I feel the best way to make everyone happy and to bring everyone together is to forget all that and bring something real, gritty and show that its a facade anyways. The first last of us was like that even though people complained about it having another grizzled white male protagonist, and saying the story shows certain people in an unfavorable light. I loved it not because i liked the opposite of those things but about the love between family, father and child, the depression of the world and the way it became along with finding that spark in yourself that you realize you needed. That whole story arc and character development showed that even if the world is gone to shit, just humans being humans makes it seem like you didnt just murder a bunch of fireflies or you dont mind having to fight hordes of infected. It showed a new norm from the perspective of a survivor which still wanted to be alive even after they lost all will to live. The second wasnt there for me on the story or even the death of joel. It seemed forced and wishy washy, and im not against the death of joel but it should have been a fathers death instead of some group traveling all that way but for one girls revenge. Especially when joel and his brother, being survivors for so long, would have seen that situation coming miles away. You never give your real names to anyone you dont know, crazy. It could have been done so much better and Theres alot of other things but its said and done. I just have hope the third actually has a situation that makes sense and gets the veiwers on board with the objective of whoever your playing as and it needs to be rooted in what the first game did to tie it up, not in relation to the story but in relation to the general vibe.

Legit hoping for a third game. The ending to the second one it definitely felt like there was something missing from the ending.. seeing Ellie leaving Joel’s guitar in the house and then walking off with two fingers missing… travelling all those miles and getting through all those obstacles and the amount of people she killed…. there just has to be more…

I stopped caring about part 3 once they stopped production for factions 2, they made multiple MP for All the uncharted series but didn’t for Tlou 2 Factions. Playing as a WLF, Scar, Survivor, Or Firefly’s in a team based objectives would’ve been amazing with the new mechanics but no they leave the Multiplayer fans that kept the game alive for 13 years blue balled for life. Tlou 2 only got hyped up to its level because of us….

Not at all... I mean, it's been over for years. It was over when all the characters were twisted and ruined for Part II. The truth is the story ended in the first game, and I'm fine with that. Part II was a pointless exercise in misery, and I have no interest in how he would intend on butchering the characters next.

I want a new franchise which he did confirm, finally but I’m with others, that I wanted last of us 3 more than anything but I want another uncharted and no we don’t need drackmann for that. I know he’s ended it but I want more uncharted.

I think that it is hurtful and disheartening to the employees that got laid off that he isn't saying anything about them. Maybe, he isn't allowed to do so? After what just happened, no studio should be talking about "their next game". They should take a break from saying anything like promoting themselves, or any individual, not doing interviews and talking about yourself Neil, and just go quiet for a few weeks. To lay off a lot of people and turn around and talk about yourself, talk about the next game, next anything, is disrespectful to the people who just lost their jobs. I also think that Troy and Ashley should also put out a tweet to thank those people for their many hours of dedication to develop a game that gave them good work. I never knew Ashley's name until The Last of Us came out - saw her in a movie, What Women Want, and knew of her as that little toddler in Growing Pains, but never knew her name until TLOU. They should both show some thankfulness and wish those that got laid off good luck and wishes. That is what I would do, but I am a good and respectful person, not everyone else is. Are they being told not to say anything?

I hope they don't make us fall in love with a Character "Joel" and wreck for me what was my favorite game series, Tlou2, sure there was a story line, certainly a PR agenda with intertwining certain relationship and Lifestyles upon us more so then just giving us what we loved to begin with, to me, I couldn't care less about Dina, I found it very aggravating trying to keep her out of my way during game play " for God sakes I'm trying to Crouch There get outta the way ! " and new characters such as Jesse, they just lacked any kind of build up to actually Caring about these people Ellie has and "might so" be spending and living her life with, for me...I cared more about Crazy Bill from the orginal game then both Dina and Jesse combined, it went well into explaining and forcing us to empathize with Abbie whom I'm sure we all hated 20 minutes into the game, I just would really hate the thought of oh let's say Killing Nathan Drake, or let's make TLOU 3 and Kill Ellie, I know while playing the game I specifically looked up on KZfaq " How Naughty Dog destroyed TLOU2, let's hope they have heard plenty of our cries and disappointments

Can we all stop comparing Neil to Hideo Kojima? Hideo makes much more interactive and interesting and innovative Games. Neil just made Blood Meridian but with Le Sad Girl and Le Mushroom Zombies. Part 2 is basically "Le Violence is Le Bad and I am Le better person."
