He didn’t really, he’s an average coach and found himself at a club with far better resources than anyone else. There’s a reason he’s not been successful elsewhere. Amazing player for us no doubt, but he was never qualified for the managers job.

What an opportunity Celtic missed though. A Rangers team trying to find their feet again, well below par and getting thumped by Celtic. Then Gerrard came along, started beating Celtic, the games were closer, but still, Celtic were blowing every other team aside and then Brenda leaves. That *10 would have been at Celtic if Brenda had stayed. In fact, it would be *12 right now. Don’t blame Lennon. Blame Brenda. The man you made all the death threats to. The man you didn’t want to see near Parkhead ever again. The man you sang about his death, amd who you had banners up at parkhead and publicly spread your hate for him al over social media. Ooos…. I think kjeil knutsem would have been a more exciting one because he would have been new, but I'm happy with Rogers appointment. With a decent budget to play with I think celtic will walk the league this season

Ange was in charge and if the question was asked to Celtic fans, would they ever take Rodgers back, I guarantee say they they’d never want to see his face at parkhead again. They really hates this guy, despite the trophies, they still felt betrayed. Now he’s welcomed back with open arms. From outside that Celtic circle, it’s hypocritical. He’s a good manager, but I think we should remember where Rangers were when he was last here, they were absolute cannon fodder and that wasn’t down to Rodgers that was down to where Rangers were at the time. I think he was the safe option this time but I don’t think he was the best option. Of course, the hoops masses will now disagree with that now he’s in the seat….

Lennon inherited the best team in the land, the most expensive team in the land, and, reduced them to rubble within a year. Way before Covid, you could see the fitness had gone, the shape had gone, the discipline had gone. He was unable to ‘man-manage’ the players through Covid. He cost us 10-in-row. His attempts at re-writing history are an embarrassment. Lennon’s 3 big successes - against Barcelona and home and away against Lazio were due to one man - Fraser Forster - Man of the Match in the 3 games. Lennon won’t get a decent job in management again.

Will always be a big fan of Lenny, Celtic legend. Celtic definitely got a hard doing by media and government during that season, and with some of the flops like edouard as well as players out with suspected covid etc, just didn't get goals despite huge possession football performances... just a shit season and Lenny was the fall guy.

I love Celtic and our supporters & Club and I get Neil is saying it was Covid and what he had to deal with BR leaving but let’s be crystal clear that Neil Lennon equally with the board made some piss poor decision that lost us 10IAR! I guarantee you 100% that if the Board had acted quick and appointed a manager quick as they did when Ange left there was no way we would of lost 10IAR no matter how good Rangers supporters foolishly think they stopped us purely because how good they were on the pitch!! Neil Lennon had his hand as well as our board in kicking our 10IAR to the curb! As long as Neil was getting his pockets lined for his beer money to piss up the wall all that mattered at the time!! COVID did no doubt play a big part in us not getting 10, but Rangers very phenomenal that season and NOBODY would have stopped them that season, no matter WHO was in charge. it's nice if the manager is a fan, but it's far more important who is the better manager. Fairly clear that Ange probably wasn't a Celtic fan as a child. Probably Lennon was. Probably Brendan was. I'd still take Ange then Brendan in that order. Would never take Lennon, even if he was the biggest fan in the world
