Hendry such a humble bloke considering he was easily the best snooker player of his generation and maybe even of all time? Also, absolutely love it when he's commentating! He really elevates any game he's commentating on with his passion and insight! Must be hard going from being the best to struggling to make a 50 break but the guy is pure class about it! Someone to learn from!

i always support the underdog in any sports competition. I recall Hendry saying the opposite that he supports the favorite which took me back a bit. :-) Is that what makes a champion? I therefore expected an arrogant sort of bloke but the exact opposite. Modest even self effacing and still willing to learn from others. No longer that seemingly aloof win at all costs teenage champion but a pleasure to watch/listen to him interview the other champs. Thanks!

Aside from being wonderful snooker players, Stephen Hendry and Steve Davis have something else in common. Perhaps because of their single-minded dedication to the game in their glory years, they came across as somewhat taciturn.
