Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

Neil’s voice just doesn’t age. He sounds great here, you’d never think he was pushing 60. Even in 2024, his voice still has that charm that it did in the 60s and 70s.

Neil Young is the reason I started tuning my guitars to C and D standard!! If y'all haven't tried it, it opens up the low end of the guitar so much and adds boatloads of warmth to your standard cowboy chords. He's in C standard here.

For D standard, you lower all of your strings a whole step (D G C F A D), and for C standard (the tuning he's using in this video) you lower your strings two whole steps (C F Bb Eb G C). He would also incorporate the philosophy of drop D and double drop D into these tunings by further lowering the 6th and/or 1st strings another whole step, like in Don't Let it Bring You Down where he tunes to double drop C (C G C F A C).

So many of his songs are in drop d and it is so easy to do!!!!! Someone said he thought this was a sea tuning I can't tell but I know the job d is really great if you want to do Neil Young stuff much of his stuff was and played in drop d on the guitar🎉🎉🎉🎉

My heart swells to it's bursting point every time I hear this hauntingly beautiful song. Neil's been my favorite singer songwriter since I was a confused about life 18yr old kid in the 90's, through a 20 plus year battle with addiction and now a 47 yr old man child still trying to figure this life out but finally getting the hang of it. Your music has colored the soundtrack of my life beautifully Neil, thank you.

Good farmers use diesel fuel and we should pay attention to changing our dependance on gasoline. "Cowgirl in the sand" is always an authentic winner Neil. Appreciate this video post cause you only sing from the heart.

Neil wrote this song laying in bed with a 106 degree temperature. Cowgirl in the Sand first appeared on Neil's LP "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" Neil and Danny Whitten really duel it out sharing leads on that LP.

subisci they are an old system called Frap. Flat response audio pickup. You can’t buy them anymore. The closest thing is the trance audio amulet.

I just tried this on my guitar, it sounds best with heavier strings so it doesn’t sound muddy, but dang does it sound cool. The tuning is C, F, A#, D#, G, C. Honestly every key sounds good in this tuning.

Well... In 2015 we know that bio diesel is not the solution. It's better to use that ground for food.

Waste Management collects the dirty cooking oil from restaurants to run their trucks on. I can not believe no one asks the question, where do all these lithium batteries go? It is a very interesting answer and not a good one for mother earth or any of it's inhabitants

Agree with the biodiesel. Went to Dubai in 2009 and was told they were in " recession" . It was Las Vegas on steroids. Buy American fuel and buy diesel and keep the money here!

He has his guitar tuned to f , use a capo on the first fret and play E minor, funny because his voice is getting older and deeper. I always play neil young songs in a different key to sing as high as I can because singing low would ruin his song.

You can make gasoline and diesel with corn. Other products as well. Not on anyones side.

Here in Brazil we’ve Ethanol, that is basically made from Sugar Cane. I believe in what Neil has said. There are other ways to have fuel from organic substances, it is possible.
