My father passed away just this week. I’m 18. I’m lost without him, but wearing his old leather jacket and hearing this brings me just a bit of comfort.

I was roughly 24 years old when I first heard this and I instantly fell in love with it. Now I'm 75 and I'm the old "man", and I love this song even more than ever before. Neil Young was a musical genius to be able to write such an emotional song that has stayed deep inside my heart for almost my entire lifetime.

Lost my dad in 2020, I just turned 24 today and had to stop by and play this again. To anyone still reading this, I hope you receive everything that you put into life. "I'm proud of you"

Sorry all, my mom's funeral is tomorrow and Neil was by far her favorite artist, and this was her favorite song. We danced this at my wedding and Neil is just going to hit even harder than he used too. Thank you mom soooo much for turning me onto one of the greatest artists ever. Miss you mom and thank you for the memories and music, I carry them with me forever.

My father passed away on March 2nd 2020 from COPD & lung disease/recurring bouts of pneumonia. He was 63 years old. Rest in Peace Daddy. James Michael Davis from Riverside, CA. Dad, since you passed I gave up witchcraft and cracked open your Bible I saw you reading quietly everyday since I was 10 years old. I asked you if I could have your Bible when you were in the ICU. I saw a couple tears drop from your eyes. It took about 1.5 years to cleanse myself of the darknsss I had invited into my life but I always have felt your presence with me since you died. I had another baby unexpectedly! HE turned 2 last week. Ezekiel James. I call him Jaimie to honor your memory. He looks so much like you and is definitely your grandson! He’s got the dark tight curly hair and olive skin tone. He’s going to be tall and has long flat feet like you too. He loves to make other people laugh just like you as well. I cant help but think you would have utterly adored your grandson if you were here. Remi is 15 already. She wears your clothes sometimes and has made them trendy. Her friends even like to borrow them especially your Bill Cosby looking knitted sweaters lol. Remi wore your electric green Ren & Stimpy t-shirt to a football game school event and people went crazy over it lol. You are still loved and cherished here. Thank you for being my father. I love you.

I’m 32 and don’t see my dad nearly as much these days I’ve seen him in person once in the last 8 years. Listening to and reading the comments I realize I need to go see my dad and cherish the time we have left. Thanks you all!
