I was there 2 nights before this ( he played 4 nights). It was magical. It was also about 5 deg Fahrenheit outside. Everyone knew they were witnessing greatness and incomparable genius. When the tickets went on sale it crashed the server ( wasn’t through Ticketmaster). I guess Carnegie Hall wasn’t used to a Neil Young solo concert going on sale. I thought to call the box office directly and a nice women answered “how many do you need”. I had my seating chart open, she sold me two, and that was that. Probably the way Neil would like it- no scalpers or computers, just talking to a nice young lady at the box office.

Neil, I was born in Texas in 1967 when Light My Fire was at the top during the summer of Love but I was raised in NE Florida by the St. John's River, namely Palatka and Jacksonville. I love this song and I know that the media has made a huge stink between you and Ronnie when there was none. Can't someone disagree or offer a different point of view without a fued? Still, this is a righteous song about the South in regard to backward Good Ol' boy idiots which none of the Van Zants ever were... just proud to be Southern. As a teenager, I played guitar with Johnny VZ at a bar called Peelers in Jax. Beach on the boardwalk in 1985. Good night and yes, I was allowed to play in bars underage with my ABC card as entertainment. I asked Johnny about this "fued" and he laughed.....Ronnie loved all your music. and I know you liked his band's music.
