Everything about Google is totally dumb. And the restored folder, after a while, they DISAPPEAR from there! I had BACKED UP photos that also disappeared!! And even THIS is not working!!

3:09 Hi mate I found this all the way over in Canada you are a life saver I had all my pictures in album order in galaxy and lost the system in Google photos now all my previous galaxy albums are mixed up ,but with your site I hope to restore it . PS I've been over here since 1977 . Hahahahahaha

Thanks Neil, just what I needed. I had to move photos from my Samsung to Google Photos as I got a 'nearly full' warning. But even when I delete them from Google photos - eg I remove the blurry/big photos - but the GB count doesn't seem to reduce . Any suggestions?

What if I want to download photos AND VIDEOS to gallery from google photos and I also want to be able to keep the date the picture was taken because i don't want to add it to gallery and it showing the date it was transferred to gallery instead of showing the date the video or photo was TAKEN

Everything worked except that the gallery app doesn't show the downloaded pictures but only the news done. I tried delete de cache but didn't helped.

Do you have Google Photos, if so, look in the trash/bin/recycle bin in Google Photos Also, quickly - go to Takeout.google.com and download all your photos now, they might still be there... That's if you have Google Photos. Also, have you checked if there's a trash in whatsapp? Also, whatsapp puts videos and photos into different folders (forgive me I don't know what type of phone you have) so the videos might be around somewhere... fingers crossed
