Deforestation happens because they either burn the soil under the trees kiling nutrients ou they are just simply cutting a whole bunch of trees. As a matter of comparison usually deforestation happens to create space for cattle creation or manufacturers

I think the deforestation issue is more clearing out forests and urbanizing the area which lead less room for habitats for animals and forces them into cities and towns due to their habitat shrinking.
