As a music fan whose favourite genre is drum'n'bass-rap-opera crossovers in which the lyrics use the process of fossilisation of extinct cephalaphods as a metaphor for how the passage of time is a component in being able to accept one's own identity... this is right up my street.

@@Mathias_Eggimann I agree that he needs to nail the vocals. but if he does: it's pretty much done. juries will shower him with points for innovation and vocal abilities. audience will love it, too. I've heard from so many different people outside the esc bubble that they love the song. also: he is already the full package. a unique and charming character, a special song with meaning, a winner's moment (the opera part with the strings). all that's missing is his live performance. but I suspect he wouldn't submit this song if he couldn't do it live. mark my words.

In my opinion the German song is not bad and yall send a great singer, but it is nothing special. I would listen to it when it randomly pops up in the Playlist. Dear Swiss neighbours, you've outdone yourself. This entry is profound, it's pure art, it's extraordinary, it's in its own masterclass. If Nemo can deliever it on stage as excellent as in the studio (of which I have no doubt of), it's a sure qualifier and could even win the whole competition. But regardless of the possible result, I praise and adore Switzerland to send something as risky, bold and extremely well crafted. You can be proud of yourselves and of Nemo. Im not gonna lie. The first time I watched this I was like meh. I didn't get all the excitement over this song, or the artist. Then....They killed it in finals. Period. THEY KILLED IT! I had only watched the video and listened to this song once! Then after the semj finals, I can't stop playing it! Normally, no one can outdo their studio version, but Nemo did!!!What a performance. What a voice. And teh lyrics! The meaning behind it. Just WOW. Switzerland we'll see you in 2025 as the Eurivison host ❤🔥 I'm rooting for 🇨🇭 and 🇫🇷 and 🇭🇷 The winner is one of these 3. I'm not an expert on the concept of non binary issues, and maybe there's things I'm at odds with. But this song is just absolute musical genius, as is the video that goes with it. Each verse/chorus, he is evolving to a different identity, even the different vocal styles is a reflection of these different identities, until he gets to the end, where he sings in falsetto, more "feminine" and in a dress - this is where they have come to terms with realising who they are and embracing that. Sorry if I've gotten the pronouns wrong, but hopefully you'll get the idea. I get emotional listening to the end, because it's so beautiful, and you feel the pain they've gone through to get to where they are now. This is something we all as humans strive to seek in life, figuring out who we are, and embracing that identity.
