In Japanese lore Amaterasu, the sun goddess, is lured out of a cave to give sunlight upon the land, and the lyrics refer to that. Lyrics say everyone-band, crowd-should get crazy, let out energy, light up the world like Amaterasu, and call on the other gods in the Shinto pantheon to heat up and and get crazy too. Guitarist Hazuki said she wrote the sort of music that would be a banger for a mid-summer fest. She was partly inspired by the band Bloodywood when writing the music-Hazuki's other band, Koiai (with Li-sa-X) was on the same bill as Bloodywood at the Oddball Fest in India February last year.

Thanks for putting this on youtube! I wasn't looking for a new favorite band but Nemophila took that spot last year hasn't looked back. The level of Nemophila-ness in this song is off the charts.

Haraguchi-san's smile is my favorite thing to see. The harder the metal the bigger the grin. Love it ... I also dig the tweetatude t-shirt. It has been on my key chain and every car for years now.

I'm not usually a fan of the scream sing. I've listened to quite a bit of Nemophila, and this is the first song I had to go purchase....more of this please.

There is something Magical in Mayu’s voice. I was also not a fan of screams/growls but when heard Mayu first time I was sold. She is something else 🔥❤️

It such a shame that hard rock and metal music is not popular anymore. Imagine the success a band like Nemophila could have had several decades ago. I mean, a band does not need to be able to afford their own jumbo jet like Iron Maiden, but nowadays it is not an easy business even for the more successful bands. Especially since the whole band has to make a living out of it, unlike most mega star pop singers that program (well most of the time the producer does) most of the instrumentations on their albums and just hire some musicians for their live shows. On the flip side this might be one of the reason for less drugs in drugs & rock n roll, which is a good thing.

Unpopular where? Japan's music market is the second largest in the world after the United States, and if you take into account Taiwan, Thailand, and the Philippines, which it has influence on, it may even be the first. Rock and Metal are the most popular music in Japan. And the Japanese don't have drugs in show business, any story with drugs is an immediate end to a musician's career, with no chance of returning.
