After a year long musical hiatus to focus on his successful FYL brand, Coney Island mayor GORILLA NEMS returns with a new single produced by duo BUDA N GRANDZ (Rick Ross, LOX, Dave East).
The gritty "The City's Never Sleeping" starts off with a child warning the listener of the dangers of drug use. Then Nems gets straight to the point, as he does so well with the opening line "Getting shot don't make you tough nigga you far from trouble. To me it means you pussy and that God don't love you". From there the listener takes a trip through the infamous South Brooklyn neighborhood as only the "Mayor" can.
Filmed in 4 hours on a normal Sunday evening in Coney Island. Nothing is staged, there are no actors, everything in this video is real life.
Remenissant of Jay-Z's classic "Where I'm From", Nems' new offering is sure to catch the listener's attention as soon as the track starts.
