In this Neon Dynasty Draft I do tons of analysis on each pick, discussing every relevant card in the pack so you know what to do when you Draft Neon Dynasty yourself! Nice vid! Quick question: is there an argument to take Kami's Flare P1P1 here? When I see three solid picks in the rare and uncommon slots all in white, I feel like I'm just encouraging everyone to my left to pick and draft white. Not that Touch the Spirit Realm is a bad pick here at all

There is certainly an argument for Kami's Flare and I almost took it solely for power level considerations! I partly just wanted to try the Uncommon. I also think that it is not that important to care about what you are passing in the first couple picks because so much of what the person you are passing to will pick is dependent on their early cards as well. Defaulting to the stronger card is basically always correct P1P1.

Nice to see the Kamikawa Neon Dynasty drafts! 😃 I would have taken the two white rares at pack 1, because: - When trying cards out in a new format, trying out rares is extra interesting because they don't occur as often as commons and uncommons. - The board whipe doesn't read "exile all creatures." You may choose any combination of creatures, artifacts, enchantments (and graveyards) and exile what suits best for you. This seems only to be bad when ahead, but in that situation you are winning anyway. - Four white pips can be very castable when you try to force mono white, what looks like a good idea after the first three picks. If mono white doesn't work out, you can see the card as kind of a 7-drop. Would you like to pay 7 mana for the best creature card in your graveyard and put four +1/+1 counters on it? It looks like the WU signpost uncommon works quite well. Same for the 6 mana make three 2/2 tokens.

I don't think the Rares are good, and I like to do my best to win (or close to it, I do like to try some of the cards) in my first Draft of the format so I can evaluate whether or not I have the right approach. That way if I lose badly I can reevaluate. Also, forcing monowhite is not something I would ever do, and you can basically count on the fact that I'm not going to do it. To be honest, the 4 White pip card was never really a consideration.

I've only played in the sealed events (2) so far and had two pretty good decks in those events. Went Green/Black first and went 5-3. In the second, I went Green/White and went 7-2. The mythic dragon spirits are huge in limited (i had one in each of the events - green and white respectively). Lot of blowout games but, some very close ones as well.

I'm super bummed to see the Innistrad sets go and wasn't expecting to get sucked into KND so quick but it's delightful. Still only 1-2 wins drafting but I had a five win sealed deck with WG.

They changed how crew works. Also I don't believe the eater of virtue gets abilities from saga creatures as they will be the front when they leave the battlefield.

Hey Nicolai. Why is Eater of Virtues good with tokens? Does it even work with tokens, the text says ‘card’ - are tokens cards? 🤔

It is good with tokens because it is a cheap equipment. With tokens you usually make a lot at once, so being able to turn 3 2/2s into 4/2s as they trade off is pretty nice. I guess I mostly meant it with the implication that it is good with a quantity of tokens.

First draft got seven wins with black red artefacts, the signpost uncommon that taps and drains 1 and makes a construct was very strong. Jammed as much removal as possible. Didn’t have any bomb rares except the black sorcery with four black pips, which I cast ever game I had it much easier than set reviews suggested, and won me the game on the spot twice. 3/6 that temporarily brings back an artifact also over performed compared to how people ranked it. Keen to see how things go once the wheat is separated from the chaff! Might get roasted!

I’m relatively new to arena, why are basic lands in the draft packs for Kamigawa? They weren’t in Crimson Vow.

Some percentage of basic lands are replaced with tapped dual lands (the gainlands), so they need the basics to make the percentages right. That's my understanding at least.

So far I did 5 drafts. Wins: 3, 2, 6, 6, 5 I dont really like the format at all, cant really say why, but didnt enjoy the games so far. Gonna try another 5-10 drafts tomorrow

i drafted kaito first pick, twisted embrace and some good ninjas pick 2 and 3, then realized that i was only getting really good green cards and no blue cards... so logically i made the safe choice and ditched kaito, went green bla- JUST KIDDING I WENT 3 COLOR GREEN BLACK WITH BLUE SPLASHED, JUKAI TRAINEES AS NINJITSU ENABLERS BABY and then sittin on Kaito to draw a million cards while they cant get past the 2 mana 3/3 reach archers, I won 5 out of 7 games... jesus i am so proud i made that deck work.. i barely ever used kaitos -2 in that deck and just went to town with the big baddies to draw an extra card every turn, and the grind was so goddamn good.. if you havent gathered it by now, this format is super exciting and very funny, I love it.
