As far as i know, the 1967 Recordings of Neon Pearl unfortunately never were released in stereo.
For this stereo remaster, i used spleeter (github.com/deezer/spleeter) and ran the whole album through it. It extracted drums, bass, guitar and vocals in separate tracks.
I did the remaster in Ableton and bounced the individual tracks to good old 1/4" tape...
It isn't perfect by any means, but quite an interesting experiment. Surprising what AI can do, isn't it? :)

Unfortunately not. But i‘d die to get the original multitrack recordings and master the whole record from the source in stereo. If you know something, please let me know!

Nah, they were just where they belonged. Couldn't have happened any other time. Indie bands in 90s can have a similar sound, but this is pure

yep i agree. it's amazing no giveaways. great writing, harmonies playing. the acid these guys took, transported them into the future. Not trying to sound liked the Beatles or the blues.

Most certainly. When I heard them I couldn't not listen to neon pearl and there follow up band please every day on a bus or at work or smoking myself to sleep.

One of my top albums is seeing stars by please, instantly knew that voice. I need to do some real digging on artists I enjoy, I just get too distracted by the art itself. Wicked upload, wish i found it much much sooner.

No,Revolver is late 66. The one from the Beatles that defined the era,is of course Sgt. Pepper's. Along with many other great releases of the time,the Doors' and Floyds' firsts being among them.

@@sirapos6550 No man, Revolver is superior than Sgt Pepper. Sgt Peppers is an invention by Rolling Stones Magazine critics. Revolver came over first and nothing, absolutelly nothing can be compared. .Regarding the date, there was a mistake on my part and the correct date is 1966.
