This is just a fun thing to know for future runs like this, but Logan's Loophole (as well as the Chemist & Day Tripper perks) actually double the duration of ALL consumable items, not just chems. So with Logan's Loophole Nuka Colas would go from healing you 2hp a second for 25s to 2hp a second for 50s, which could then be doubled again with Chemist or Day Tripper to 100s and then the third would double it again to 200s lol

my favorite part about the nuka-breaker is that it's a circular reference. The Nuka Breaker was created as a nod to the series, but the Nuka Break team put a Nuka Breaker prop in the series after seeing it in a pre-release screenshot of Gun Runners' Arsenal, before they knew it was a reference to them. Therefore the Nuka Breaker in Nuka Break is a reference to Obsidian making a reference to nuka break, before the nuka breaker was a weapon in FNV

Fun fact, there is a way to get a singular Nuka Cola Quantum in New Vegas. In the divide, there is a box with a chance to contain a bottle of quantum.

You can only use guns that were available in Fallout 2, get the Enclave power armor (and kill the remnants immediately too if you want lmao), do all Jacobstown related quests (bc of Marcus), do Boone's side quest (his voice actor is the same as Myron from F2) and side with the NCR

I would technically consider this run failed considering there’s one very important thing you missed: As any Nuka-Cola superfan knows, you can get a singular Nuka-Cola Quantum in the divide- Making it the rarest soft drink on the entire West Coast and therefore a must have. 👀

How about beating new vegas as the mysterious stranger? Only use the mysterious magnum, dress the part, and use v.a.t.s. whenever possible, attack from stealth at all times to emulate the 'surprise apearance' factor. If you want to go ultra hardcore, you could use ONLY vats, but that might not be so great. Loved the video, keep up the great work!

One advantage of doing this in Vegas over 4 is the Nuka-Breaker. Makes you look like the Fallout version of Tricky the Clown.

Did you know that you can (sometimes) find exactly one quantum in new vegas? There’s one container in the divide that has a chance to spawn one.

A yes man run where you just go with whoever you talk to even when it contradicts other quests would be super entertaining

since you did nuka cola, next you should do new vegas as a sunset sarsaparilla superfan. only heal through sunset sarsaparilla and only use the weapons found in the SS HQ (including Pew Pew)

If you use a Stealthboy at the Mojave Outpost cantina, you can generally snatch a good portion of what's on the shelf without having to pull the goods around the corner. Not quite everything, but enough that it'll save you a chunk of time.

One of my pre-planned New Vegas playthroughs I styled after your Superfan, though of course it was going to be a proper character instead of an actor in a video: The Nukaholic -Gear: Mobius' scrubs, Ulysses' mask -Weapons: Nuka-Breaker, Recharger pistol -Aid: All that is Nuka Cola and Nuka-related -Personality: Once a distinguished chemist with the Followers, after helping an alcoholic kick their drinking by turning them onto Nuka-Cola, he ended up swept into the craze himself and was eventually expelled from the group, forced to take to courier work to fund his new habit -Choices: Driven by his crazed love for Nuka-Cola, the Nukaholic seeks to amass a fortune needed to acquire more Nuka-Cola and eliminate any obstacles to that fortune, thus he will initially side with House when he sees the stocked shelves of the Lucky 38, but once he "realizes" that the Big H might pose a risk to his gains, he won't hesitate to take the Strip and its flow of caps for himself with Yes Man.

You should definitely do this in fallout 4, i imagine the upgraded thirst zapper would be an amazing damage dealer, especially with its quantum upgrade

Out of curiosity Nerbit, why do you not use rushing water much in your melee builds? The increased attack speed effectively gives each weapon ripper mode, and its easy to stockpile jet and purified water

"Practicing my yes man run" You should absolutely do a run like that. Rough Rules: When encountering any NPC, if they talk to you, you are unable to say no, and must complete the task they give you. (This would exclude NPC's with long fetch quests like Malcolm for sanity reasons). You would also have to kill house, giving you the options of siding with your doppelganger, NCR, or Legion. Weapons: (from the fallout wiki) Gatling Laser (Wiki says they have 9mm, but barely use it, so go get the laser from the brotherhoods basement :D) Once you complete the upgrade cutscene: Missile launcher Grenade launcher This run would likely require some planning since you would want to try to avoid talking to too many people, but could result in an interesting playthrough. Hopefully this comment reaches you, and you can put some more polish on this idea.

Would love to see you tackle one of these challenges while completing all the DLC. It would definitely be more effort but might be interesting to see how you overcome some of the unique problems the DLCs, while still staying within the bounds of the challenge in question.

Tbh I’ve learned a good deal from watching these challenge runs. From finding iconic weapons, interactions with important characters, and locations to rare items in general. Even though I’ve played almost 1k hours over 5-6 characters, there always seems to be more to discover in NV. Guess that’s why I love it so much lol. But I’ve also been inspired to begin doing challenge runs of my own, perhaps even on a YT channel as well. Either way great video Nerbit, I always love when you can’t help but slaughter all of the Omertas lol

So the reason this video probably isn’t happening in fallout 4, is that to my knowledge the Nuka cola themed weapons are all in Nukaworld, and in order to get them you would need to kill The Overboss. Which you know, you can’t do without nuka weapons.

You should totally do a Fo4 Sportsmaster run! He’s a DC comics villain who uses sports based gear. Basically a villainous run where you only use sports based gear. Sports based armor, weapons… everything. If it isn’t for sports, Sportsmaster doesn’t care about it. Fo4 has the most sports stuff I think, with baseball uniforms, and a bunch of weapons to use. I think it’s a fun idea because you can do melee with a bowling ball gun backup or something.. idk,

OMG I loved Nuka Break when it came out and im so happy to see you reference it. I know its an old fan film but to me its the best fallout media outside of the main games. The new amazon show has a high bar to clear if they want to do better. And that came out 7 years ago

I just finished a fallout 4 survival run where i can only heal with nukacola and my only food and drink was nukaworld food (i counted nuka lurk meat since they are infused with quantum) The real challenge of the run is getting into nukaworld before getting too much radiation as Radx and radaway aren't allow (neither are doctors) and Nuka Grape and Orange as far as i could tell can only be obtained in nuka world. but once you are inside Nukaworld the rest of the run is easy just have to do regular return trips for more nuka grape (or other nukamix you want to craft)

The thing with Fallout 4 is that you would have to either spawn the weapons at the start or try to go through the dlc as a without attacking.

Through sheer coincidence I've also been getting into new vegas recently! One of the best games I've ever played. Only beat the main quest the first time a few days ago. Moving onto the DLCs now. Always love to see games I play being beaten in weird and wonderful ways.

One of my favorite challenge runs is a nuka-only run in Fallout 4. No vats, only allowed to heal health or rads with Nuka products. no sleeping in beds to heal and no building rad scrubbers, stuff like that. i've done it several times and it's always fun, especially because it kind of forces you to do Nuka world at a low level to get rad reducing nuka recipes

Nerbit, I have a challenge idea: Can you beat Fallout 4 as two people in a trenchcoat? (aka can you beat fallout 4 with a friend managing your items) So basically, in Fallout 4 in the options menu, you can connect your game to the fallout 4 pipboy app, which will let you manage your items and stuff from your phone, so my idea is to get a friend and they have to manage your items and use or equip items and you play the game and relay what you want to them, as they are not allowed to see the screen
