I swear, creeper world games seem to pop up every few years. I thought it was just a good flash game when I was a kid but then it keeps being revived. Hell, 4 is in development right now.

fun fact: the guy who made this is working on a 3D version of this. and he also made a version of this game but instead of fighting on planets you are fighting in space with space ships (its really cool and I highly recommend it)

I'm really glad this game is getting more attention, it's unique and great.

Fun fact, for that second mission all you need to do is fill in the gaps in the walls and the creep can never get over it, no fighting required. (Until you try to get the key.) It spreads out too far to roll over the wall and since there are no emitters no more can spawn in.

For anyone who'd prefer a more mobile approach to the gameplay. They made another game called "Particle Fleet Emergence" where your turrets are actually moveable spaceships which act as weapon platforms. It's also a Prequel to the game Dan's playing.

Tips: Don't build so many collectors right away, only add a couple, they'll finish quicker. In other words, you can build 6 collectors faster by building them 2 at a time, compared with building 6 at once. You showed how to move turrets, then risked constructing a new one right at the creeper's border. Better to build it back from the line, then move it forward. Turrets can survive a few moments in creeper, long enough to attack and clear themself a perimeter. In progress construction is destroyed immediately on contact, on the other hand. Build multiple collectors with click and drag. It auto spaces them and leaves less to guess work. Go back and fill in the weird terrain after.

Honestly, should do some more! I rather like seeing how you go about solving each mission, and it's sorta satisfying to watch the creep leak forward, and fill up holes and gaps!

The fist two games in the series are flash games free to play online, I highly recommend them. The fourth game is being make and has waaay more scale to it and is 3D.

This game is absolutely fantastic, you can play hours upon hours upon hours of this game and still have things to play

I love the longer videos, I wished your videos were longer before the break, now they are longer so it's fun to watch

Turrets have a life bar and holds some ammo. You can jump them into creeper to secure an area much faster than inching into it. All weapons are more effective when able to target deeper creeper.

I passed this game over myself years ago as the videos I watched never really did it justice. However when i eventually bought it I ended up playing 50+ hrs on it. It is an absolute gem of a game that sadly gets overlooked. A lot of people take one look and call it a tower defence but it is legitimately one of the best RTS games that has come out in years. There are a tonne of missions and they never feel like they are running out of new tricks. There are also extra levels after u beat the campaign so it is the kind of game you can just keep coming back to. I cannot recommend this game enough.

Every new year we go to our grandparents house, and their wifi is awful. As a kid, I got around that by going downstairs to the router, opening a bunch of flash games, and going somewhere to play them. I found Creeper World 1 many years ago, and 2 sometime after that, and it's always kinda been a tradition for me to play creeper world while I'm there. I didn't know there was a third one until just this year, or I guess technically last year

I'm SO happy Dan has finally made a video on this game, it's been one of my faves for a long time. More people should play this game!

This reminds me of a game called Colors of war (Literally colors). Never heard of it, than you've probably never heard of Galaxy of games either. Basically you play as whatever color you want and fight against other colors for territory until you defeat all of the other colors. You build different things that spread your color in different ways and fight other colors when they boarder you.

I would love to watch more of this if you were willing to start a short series.

Have you tried Forts? Its a RTS where where you build forts using the physics of a bridge building game. You can make people topple over, shatter them with rippling shock waves etc.

I loved the shit out of the original creeper world and yes it does have a story to it. The originals the command center could move too and you had to activate portals to get off the planet. There wasn’t nullifiers so it was impossible to fully stop the creep.

I hope this extra publicity gives Virgil a boost in sales, he definitely deserves it. Programs these games by himself and does it very intelligently. Personally I prefer Particle Fleet, but CW3 was also obscenely fun.

I remember playing like this a long time ago. It wasn't for ages until I realised you can build reactors exponentially and then build tons of cannons, mortars, sprayers and shields and fly them right on top of the creeper to decimate the creep around it and fly them out before they die to refuel. While you're doing all that you can be building the next wave of units for the other creepers at the same time.

I think he should play this entire game. I love it.
