I just cant get over it how driving lessons work in the US, here in the netherlands we have the instructors to have their own car and they also have padels at the passenger seat incease they need to break if the student is making a mistake, but in the US u just get your own car and get a instructor to drive with u i guess

It really depends on the State, City, and Driving School whether you provide the car or they do, and if it is a 'Dual Control' car or not.

there's a driving school that I took lessons at in Arizona called MVD and they use their cars and have brake pedals on the driver's side, but before you even drive a car they teach you the basics on a simulator

I was self taught. Did an online thing, and my mom was the only instructor I had. The only time I had an "instructor" was for my practical test to get my license. Used my own car.
