Absolutely amazing! Here is an idea: fit a strip of narrow led’s (probably warm white) at too and bottom behind the ‘tree layer’. The light should then shine through and illuminate that layer, enabling an even more 3d effect. I did this before (using the led’s on layered resin and if done correctly it may very well blow your mind.)

I bet using neon fluorescent paints and glow in the dark paint you could make some seriously wild paintings. Add glow in the dark paint in a lower level, using this one as an example, behind the tree then using UV led strips on the bottom top and sides you could make a glowing light come from behind the tree. Just some ideas for future projects.

That tree blows my mind. The light breaking through the canopy and the magma-like colors in the center. Freaking gorgeous.

This painting is truly amazing. You are very gifted. The design would make a great tattoo backpiece.

i really like how the layers help to exaggerate the depth and shape of the tree's canopy. Thanks for showing the process. This was a fun vid to watch! You guys have a great channel.

Absolutely stunning. The video probably doesn’t do it justice and can’t see all the details you would see in person. Awesome 🤩

The concept isn't new. In 1937 snowwhite was painted on glass sheets and than filmed. But you took it to the next level. Love it

Disney's Tron had frames up to 25 layers in one single frame and uses the same concept. Each frame was filmed cut up and pieced together and than exposed onto a new final layered frame. Mindboggling work considering the Movie is 96 minutes long and each second has 30 frames (NTSC). Next level done in the 80's.

You had me when you painted the sun rays in through the leaves. But honestly speaking, beautiful is an understatement when describing this piece of art.

I don't know if it was the background music, but I teared up when I saw you painting each layer. It's incredible, your vision, your artistic talent and how you present the entire video :) I loved it!

So beautiful! The shards of light filtering through the branches is just gorgeous 😁 Your videos are always so calming to watch and the skill used not just to make the project but to film it the way that you both do is just 👏👏👏

It sort of looks like it depicts Persephone returning from the underworld after a third of the year and her first growing something extreme in the mortal realm. Just a thought. Love your work btw.

Really cool. I'd love to see a light shined through the bottom of that so it would come through the gaps between all the layers. I bet it would really pop.

I don't think the camera at the end really captured the 3d aspect of the painting. Maybe have the piece on a turntable, and have light coming from different angles in a darker room? Anyway, I am very inspired to try making my own 3D art!
