He was a great character, well written, well played, also proper african looking and even talked about where he came from. It made perfect sense even though black africans where rare in rome, it was plausible and not too much on the nose. I don't think the blackwashing of a european historical figure, played by an african american Denzel Washington, who also looks very african american (neither proper african nor european), will be all that easy to overlook. Still hope the movie is good, I've had it with all these bad movies over the last decade.

Twister was a good movie for the time period between really sketchy tornado forecasting and pretty reliable and timely forecasting which focused on getting the data necessary to better forecast storms. Modern radar is so much better than it was during the time period that there really aren’t any “stakes” to generate tension around. Also, many of the cast were fairly popular and well known movie and television actors who added increased interest. A sequel without the original cast, who have either aged out or passed on, and featuring a bunch of nobodies has no draw even if it’s good. Kind of like making a Fall Guy movie nearly half a century later.
