AVGN: WHAT WERE THEY THINKING???!!!

The "Kid becoming the killer" thing is friday the 13th part 4 with corey feldman (Plays Tommy Jarvis). (Halloween copied it) then in Part 5 its a fake jason killer and tease the kid, Tommy (Who is now a grown up) as the killer a 2nd time. Then in part 6 Jason comes back as a zombie and Tommy Fights him off after bring him back to life.

This is one of those games where it seems synonymous with AVGN

Definitely a guide game...though honestly I admire a lot of what this game did. -It wasn't too often at this time besides maybe Adventure Island and RPGs where you had a singular hub to explore back and forth versus a series of stages. -Day to night was done well and had effects like more zombies spawning, incentivizing the player to hunt Jason fast to avoid getting overwhelmed -They do a good job emphasizing how chunky Jason is versus your scrawny camp counselors -All the options of healing, swapping counselors, passing along or taking items, it allows players to strategize if they think a counselor may die soon since their health restores after each day Make no mistake, it's very flawed. The navigation is tricky in the cave/woods. Lighting the fireplaces isn't worth the time investment in the slightest. Depending on your spawn Jason can just wipe you out before you can get any resources. Trying to fight him on the 3rd day is a crapshoot if you don't have some items to help Out of all the games James ripped apart, this is the one I lightened up to the most. Hell this game is why I even made a KZfaq account in the first place, because I wanted to follow a channel named Cornshaq who broke the game apart and thought he might do it for other retro games

Monster in My pocket is dope, technically a got into it when it was long dead. (2000s kid)

I had Monsters in my Pocket!! Holy shit I have been trying to remember what those were called for years! I had them in First Grade and remember battling with another kid that had them on the playground at school

beating Jason only leads to one ending. if you want to "kill" Jason, you have to do a few things to trigger the fight with his mom's soul.

People came around on Nightmare on Elm Street being a pretty decent game...but there is no one thinking Friday the 13th is a good game.
