NES emulators can do netplay for many years now. But I encourage everyone to try Parsec. It is a solution to play netplay on emulators without hassle or lag (IDK if it supports "rollback"). I'm fairly sure it even works on games that aren't emulated.

Yeah Randy's jump super is good, if you throw it from the back of the court you can get the ball back with the opponent running back to his side of the court and hit him with another super in the back....timing is critical but its brutal.

Sam is pretty strong and his Blaster pierce through the enemies, very useful.

Bon Mot i prefer Boris has a powerful throw than any national dodgeball player, i use Soviet Union in versus mode and got 28 hit points when i use Boris super throw

This isn’t a Nintendo IP, this is part of the Japanese Kunio-kun series along with Crash N The Boys and River City Ransom and a bunch of games that never came out in the west. The IP is owned by Arc System Works these days. Arc System Works just released a Kunio-kun collection for Switch recently though.

The series primarily was released in Japan though. It had a super famicom entry for dodgeball and had a neo geo entry for dodgeball. Plus they did various other kinds of events, beat em ups, fighters, etc.

Same series in Japan, but they Americanized all the entries outside of Japan and we failed to get a lot of them. It’s the Kunio-kun series. Crash N The Boys was also part of the series.

There is a 2-player mode where all the teams are available for playing, but the main campaign is US only. You could play as a Japanese team if you play the Japanese version of the game, but the stats and skills for your team and the opponents are the same as the US version, in terms of the what your team has and the stats of the opponents in the order you face them. In the Japanese version, the first match is Nekketsu High School vs. Hanazono High School, while Russia is in the position that Japan has in the US version, and the finals is Japan vs. USA.
