In the step 2, if I replace the current source by a voltage source V= 12v in series with the 4 ohm resistor I get a different answer . Why ?? Also the voltage polarity across 4ohm due to both the sources is different , so should it be v1 - v2 when we do the algebraic sum ?

wouldnt I1 be negative though? making V=6v?
@nishantgautam7627

Yess, there's something wrong here. Voltage Polarity due to both the sources across 4ohm is opposite. So it should be v1 - v2 when we do algebraic sum.. Also if I replace the corrent source by a voltage source, I get a different answer. Don't know what's wrong here, but something definitely is!
@voidash
@voidash 3 жыл бұрын
can't we convert the current source into voltage source and solve the circuit?? what is wrong with that approach?
@nishantgautam7627
@nishantgautam7627 2 жыл бұрын
Exactly same doubt. I did that, and got a different answer. Don't know what's wrong here. 😭😭 Also the final answer should be v1 - v2. Polarity due to both the sources is opposite. Don't understand why he simply added it if it's algebraic sum.
