Hey guys, I have a comparative review of two Nespresso machines. One is the Inissia( Also known as Inissia D40), and the Essenza Mini. Check out this Video and let me know what you think. I ordered the inissia a couple days ago for a gift. I was so torn between the two. But I went with the inissia because it came as a bundle. I may get the Essenza for my self after watching this though! haha Thanks for the review

A 12 oz. Body glass will fit, or a 16oz Crate and Barrel ceramic mug will fit. Also, a pint size mason jar will fit likewise. Hope it helps you out.. Thanks!!

I've just got the Mini, it's my first Nespresso (I have also a Dolce Gusto and a Tres Corações - a brazilian one). The only downside I can see so far is the water compartment, which seems not to be very 'firm' when attached to the machine. Ah, and the fact that I need smaller cups... Thanks for your time!

It appears that the mini has a constant water drip in the video? Is that correct? I'm leaning toward the mini, but if it's dripping like that I'll get the Inissia.

The inissia is made by DeLonghi and the new mini is made by Breville. So i would choose Inissia for sure its still sold brand new on a lot of sites

So, lets say Target had both on sale and you knew you wanted one but you were sure which... so you bought both so you wouldn't miss the sale. Then you started to research and found this video - really the only difference I'm noticing is the size and the sound. Would this be correct? If you had to choose just one - which would you choose? Thanks for your help in advance :)

We still have both. We kept the white one (Mini) in the house, as it's a smaller footprint.. The D40 went to the office, as space isn't at a premium. Both are equally awesome, and serve an identical purpose sans the smaller capsule waste bin, and water capacity. The only want of the D40 Vs. Mini is the used capsule capacity.. Hope this help!!!

With the capsule basket removed. After the machine has warmed up, once the lever is lifted up does water drip into the tray inside?

I think they are quiet for what they do. Other coffee makers are definitely louder though.. Thanks for the comment!

We found it on the North American Nespresso website. It's no longer sold though. You may be able to find it though on a secondary market. Hope this helped.. :)

If your referring to after the machine finished making a cup of coffee, yes. Our's does as it's excess water in the line after the brewing is complete.

I see what you are speaking of. The Inissia does drip in that frame, but hasn't done that since. I guess I could say that it was new, and the machine was being used for the first time..

Yes Nespresso is kinda quirky about there item's listed.. They will have it for sale, and then they'll sell it out. They may bring this back into stock, but here's a link for you.. www.nespresso.com/us/en/order/accessories/original/pixie-target

I don't think it's sold anymore, so the secondary market. You could also try other Nespresso sites around the globe. Shipping might be the issue though.

The temp is nearly identical between the two.

I did an espresso and a lung and when I push each button they give me the same size of coffee. Is it normal??? Why do they say we need a larger cup for lungo???

Alexe Boisvert because you can set the size you prefer. It's explained in the guide how to do it.

Lungo as a choice is a larger volume of water overall.. Larger cup of coffee.. :)

If you are looking for a machine that would perform better than the Keurig overall but don't want to give up the option of brewing full size coffee (8 oz) could you brew an expresso first then a Lungo with just hot water and end up with an 8 oz (approx) size cup of coffee?

I see you say your Nespresso Inissia is a D40 but the one I have here that looks just the same as yours says; Type: C40, Made in Hungary. So again, my device says; Type: C40 & it looks exactly like yours. Thks, dbishop88dbishop PS dbishop88dbishop is my user name as an eBay member

Because it's an espresso and espressos typically contain low volumes of water to create a strong coffee

The machine has two buttons one for espresso and another one for lungo (Americano)
