I cannot believe the difference between this one and the Grand Lattissima! The milk container is so much more smaller and needs topping up after every drink. I have learned a lot as I do agree it does drip and I have had the little stand on the wrong way round 😂. Many thanks as always for great informative videos and please keep them coming.

Haha, glad it wasn’t just me 😂 Yeah I was taken back initially with how small it was but started to make more sense when I thought about it being a machine for someone who likes simplicity and only a very occasional milk drink, perhaps once a week or something.

Great video. I'm still firm in the believe of keeping it simple using a basic machine and an aeroccino. The latissimi one looks like a lot of work.

Yeah I still prefer an aeroccino to the Lattissimas as prefer the froth consistency and think the aeroccino will stand up better over time. Usually just a cheap whisk replacement too if an aeroccino stops frothing.

I have this machine for 6 months now and its absolutely fantastic with no issues...good to make a single glass of latte...small and compact machine.

Hello! Thank you so much for your help. Did you need to wash the milk container between your cappuccino and latte macchiato? I'm afraid to buy this machine because I don't want to wash the milk container after every SINGLE use but Gran Latissima has bad reviews... Thank you so much for your help

Yes this one is only designed for single use and needs to be washed within 30 minutes of use each time according to the manual.

Great review. Please can you make a iced coffee with cold milk or it’s always going to be hot. Thanks I want to get one for my and I don’t know witch one is better. This one or citiz with aerocino 3.

Hi there. It just has the one button so it will always dispense hot milk. The aeroccino 3 or 4 can both froth cold milk.

Hi there, glad the videos are helping 😁 Everyone has different priorities but personally I would go for the Citiz and aeroccino. I’ve had that combination twice now and my old combo was still going after 5 or so years. Also feel the aeroccino milk mixes better with the coffee but that’s all down to personal taste I guess.

@@isabelle5793 Hi Isabelle, I'm wondering exactly the same. Especially as someone who wants to make a lot of Cappuccinos and would love to use different milk options, it seems like the more reliable option to go for the Citiz + Aeroccino 4 or even a frother from a different brand as there is really good ones out there. Have you made a decision yet? Would love to hear some opinions before I make my purchase :)

I love your videos. My question I can't decide between, the Lattissima one, Lattissima touch or Citiz and Milk. What are your thoughts, they are all in the price range I would like to spend.

Hi there. They all have their pros and cons but I personally like the Citiz and Milk as the frother is more versatile, I prefer the texture of the froth (though the Lattissima one froth wasn't bad) and feel the aeroccino will be less temperamental over time. Hope this helps.

Was thinking about this after and I don’t see why not if you remove the cup or glass after the milk has finished, let the water pour into the drip tray and then empty it.

Hi 👋 I do as feel the amount of coffee in the pod will be right for a single espresso. Think I tried getting 2 shots out of 1 pod when I first got my machine but it has been a while. Might give it a go again one time just to see how it tastes 🤔

You can’t I’m afraid. There are things you can do to help like heating the cups first or running a shot of water through before pouring a coffee, but you cant change the temperature with a button or dial I’m afraid. 😟

I was just wondering,,if you put warm water in milk holder insteed of milk and let it run as if your using milk,,would that not clean it all or flush all milk leftovers,i did that with the older version and it worked fantastic.please let me know what you think,gr ernie in holland

Hi there. I'm wary of suggesting alternative ways of cleaning the machines apart from what Nespresso suggest (in case it breaks anything or leaves bacteria in the frother) but sounds like a clever idea and glad it has worked for you in the past.

Do the machines stop dripping if you eject the pod immediately after use, or do they continue to drip after ejecting the pod?

They do tend to keep dripping even after ejecting the pod. It's more noticeable on these than other some Nespresso machines too, as when making the bigger drinks there's no drip tray in place to catch the drips afterwards. Unless you can remember and get into the habit of just sliding that drip tray over as soon as you're done making a latte, then wash that drip tray out when needed.

@@A2BProductions Thanks for the quick reply.. I guess we’ll just have to get use to it then and keep an eye on the drips - or keep the tray slid across when we’re done. Just brought the Touch from Amazon @ £155 (thought I was a decent deal, considering it was £201 yesterday) so we’ll see what it’s like over the weekend

When i make a latte, the machine didn’t use all milk in the container. I think the machine only use 2/3 of the milk. Any idea why? Any option to minimise the milk waste?

Yeah I'm trying to remember 🤔 I think it did that for us too as the tube inside might not go all the way down to the base of the frother. Not sure there's much that can be done about that though.

What issues did you have with your Gran Lat? I bought one and the milk part would only produce steam and water. Nespresso are going to replace it. Also the machine doesn’t remember programmed amounts.

Hi there. Our frother on the Gran Lattissima worked ok but we just didn’t really like the kind of froth it created, too airy and as you mentioned a bit watery.

You can adjust the coffee volume for the espresso but not 100% sure if it applies the change when making the a latte or cappuccino. Might be worth double checking with Nespresso.

Hi there, think I may have responded to this on another video but the machine will just use whatever amount of milk you put in, so if you want less then I don't see a problem with just adding a bit less milk than the cappuccino line.

Thanks. I personally find the lattissima froth a bit more airy than the aeroccino (ironically given the name 😂) so I prefer the aeroccino myself. Others might feel differently though.

interesting, I am concerned that nothing will compare to properly frothed milk which is more like what you describe the lattissima to be by the sounds of it. trying to avoid just warm milk with a bit of foam on top... that cloud like milk texture of a skilled barista and proper milk frother is hard to match@@A2BProductions

I know what you mean. For me if you want barista style milk then the best option in the Nespresso range are the Creatista machines as they have a steam wand and the froth they create is much less airy and more like barista milk. My wife can’t drink the aeroccino milk or the Lattissima milk but loves the creatista milk 🥛 Which puts me in a predicament if our creatista pro ever breaks down as I’ll have to replace it and they’re not cheap 😅 Hope this helps but just a personal preference

@@A2BProductions interesting, I'll have to watch your review on that machine again. to me it seems like it's mimicking the steam wand of a proper machine but it's just stuck in there sitting flat with the wand in the milk and not really being used at all like a steam wand should be to properly froth the milk. I'll give those another look though based on your advice, thanks again!

Yeah it’s not a perfect replacement for a steam wand where you have to froth the milk yourself like a barista can but it’s probably the best chance of recreating that style of milk using a Nespresso machine - that we’ve used to date anyway. I suppose the other option is a machine without a frother attached and maybe buy a stand alone steam wand if they exist. I was actually looking into that the other day briefly to see what’s out there. Definitely have a look at our Creatista videos (we have a playlist if it helps) and see what you think of the milk texture it creates. Hope you find an option that works for you 🥛☕️

Hi there. No there's no clean button on this machine I'm afraid, just a light to remind you to clean it after each use and you are supposed to take the frother apart and wash it out after every use. Hope this helps.

Hi I’m buying my partner our first nespresso machine for Xmas, I’ve watched your videos and still slightly unsure, he loves lattes , I was thinking latisima one but now I’m thinking standard machine with separate frother 🙈 can you help please

Yeah being honest I’d go for a separate machine and frother myself. I love lattes and if there’s a chance of stretching to the Creatista Plus I’d opt for that over any Lattissima. Know they’re not cheap though, so would personally still go for a cheaper machine plus aeroccino 4 - just so you don’t have to remove the spring when you want less froth and it has an extra froth setting when you want more. Would recommend watching more of the videos though as will hopefully help you to decide 😅

Hi there, I haven't tried it as it's only recommended to use one pod per shot of espresso. I might give it a go one time to try it but I wouldn't imagine the second shot would taste very nice.

Hi there. No there is no adjustment dial on this model I'm afraid. If you mean literally less milk instead of a less airy foam, then you could just put less milk in the frother I guess, as it just uses however much you put in.

Hi there. We filled it to just above the top line on the frother. The machine basically uses whatever milk is in the milk carafe, so you just need to put the required amount in. Hope this helps.

I originally wanted the touch in black but I waited too long and they are being discontinued, maybe a new model coming out? And only the silver is available. As I like a strong coffee (and we call it a magic here in Melbourne) so I’m thinking I might be able to get away with just the “One” model as it’s just me & I like how easy it is to use & just pouring the amount of milk desired is great if I want a quick coffee or a more milky one. However the black one is the same price as the silver touch 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for sharing 🙂 I’ll keep my eyes open for a new model of the Touch. Have been meaning to do a comparison video between the Lattissima One and Touch for a long time but there is a new model of the Lattissima One out since I made this video. The machine still works in the same way as I understand it though, just basically built for one milk based coffee drink at a time and then have to refill the frother. Be great to hear what you decide ☕️👍🏼

@@A2BProductions ended up going with the One in black. The touch in black looked like it had some grey components and with some discounts ended up getting the machine half price. I already love it!!! Definitely much better than my Nescafé dolce gusto s plus

Could perhaps make it work but may be a bit of a faff if it is 4 milk based coffees you’re making, as you’ll need to fill the frother 4 times and wash it out a couple of times a day.

Hi there. Then machine basically uses whatever amount of milk you put in the frother, minus a little left at the bottom where the tube won't reach. So yes I think you could put a little less in to suit your taste. Hope this helps.

We really need to do some VS videos with these machines as they're very different. Depends a lot on how many milk based coffees you drink each day I think. Worth keeping in mind you have to wash the frother out between every milk coffee you make with the Lattissima One, whereas you can use the Touch frother, give it a quick blast with the steam clean function and keep it in the fridge for up to 2 days. Might be worth watching our Lattissima Touch review.

Hi there. We did prefer the texture of the milk from the lattissima one but the touch does have extra options, so it just depends on what you want from the machine.
