When I try adding a record, it is refused because It always tries to use Id=0. The Id-field in the database is set to identity (it wasn't during the scaffold). What am I doing wrong? When the table is empty or I manually change the Id value in the database, the record wil be added.

make the Id column as primary key in the sql table and update the scafold and then try again it should work.. dont set the id column inside the code any where

Solved: Despite Re-scaffolding, there still was an entity.Property for the Id-field --> entity.Property(e => e.Id).ValueGeneratedNever();
