Was not hyped for the show. Knew it was coming out. But the trailers really made it feel like a very low budget fantasy show. Also never read or played anything in the Witcher universe. Saw the show. I'm on episode 5 it's freaking amazing. Bought all the games now. If they really are sooooo much better then the show. Then I know I'll love them. Literally was not expecting to like the show this much.

After watching the show, I'm kinda mad that Jaskier's actor Joey Batey was not in a lot of these panels. He sounded like a really stand up guy from the small number of interviews that I found, and he and Henry really made the show for me with Geralt and Jaskier bbf interactions. Hoping he gets more recognition for next season.

She's a good actress, but no way should have been cast as Yennefer. They must be trying to meet some diversity requirement. Attractive, but even the game version is 10 times prettier than this lady. t's a shame they couldn't find someone with Anya's acting ability and Meghan Fox's looks to pull off the Yennefere character.

@@UnIockables I like Yennefer's casting, I think that Freya seemed a bit too old. Given how they try to make her look younger but I still think she sounds and acts like an 18 year old, not a 15 year old. Its also important to note, child actors are hard to come by, so they had to choose someone who could pull off 17 and look young and can actually act.

Mike P geralts mutations mean his metabolism is incredibly slow, hence why Witcher’s age so slowly. He would still be ripped and sometimes go without food and not wither away

Everybody handled the moderator's inappropriate questions so well. I love how Henry stepped in help take the focus off of Freya when she was feeling overwhelmed.

It's one of few positives about this show. The guy is living the dream, played the most iconic superhero (badly, but not his fault)... And now will play an iconic dark fantasy character, maybe the most recognizable today (more than Conan perhaps). A shame for me personally that I really like geralt and Ciri stories, but Yen is my favorite character.... And look how they massacred my girl

Al As 57 the books have much more interesting antagonists but the games do a very good job adapting and making it its own thing. Saying the games are better doesn’t really make any sense because u can’t compare two completely different forms of entertainment

i dont like the question being asked on 11:58. The actress Anya didnt know how to respond because she did not want to give any spoilers. This made her look like she didnt know the character which is obviously not the case. I dont get it what was the host expecting her to say. The answer is a small spoiler which in the end anya hat to say because there was nothing else to say. I watched few interviews with the cast and for the most part the hosts were terrible. Its either sex jokes for Henry or dumb questions for the Girls.

He doesn't game all the time. From what I remember, it was either when he was younger or when he's between jobs. You don't have that much (real) downtime when shooting and he indeed has to train a lot. I guess the good news is that he can set some days aside to totally game.

Louis Valencia I actually think that Anya was as nervous as Freya. Freya even came across more confident in explaining her character. I don’t mean that Anya doesn’t know about Yennefer, she clearly does, but I think she was intimidated by the audience and the spotlight, which is why her explanations seemed kind of unclear at some parts. But what do I know. I’m not a damn psychologist 😂 just my 2 cents

Right, the commitment he put on being geralt is superb. When you look at "super fan" be like "wtf, why not 'him' (anyone else) why not etc etc" i mean yes maybe someone else is more suitable for geralt BUT in terms of physicality lookalike. Like they always wanted eva green to be yennefer, i mean in my opinion she's fit for it but could she ? Im sold too with this, but i dont put high hopes.

I'm pretty sure his version is going to be _the_ version that finally brings this character to popular knowledge. He's more buff and more conventionally handsome than Geralt in the books, but other than that he's the best possible fit for the character.

Went in oggling Cavill's The Witcher and came away stanning Yennefer by the end of the 8th episode; and the actress who played Tissaia was amazing. I also loved the actor who played Istredd. Her story arc involved some of the best acting in the series. Loved it. Love her. Anya is talented as all get out.

Agreed. Of the three main characters, only Yennefer developed her story from the first episode till the last. I feel like Geralt and Ciri didn´t grow much at all. Not complaining, they´ll have their turn but Yen´s story was excellent.

The writing turned out decent luckily, not amazing, but it didn't kill the show. There are a ton of good actors in the industry. The host. Personally I dont find it disgusting I find it normal. Very awkward and she should be way more professional but hey that's how a lot of women probably feel about him. My issue is if it was a guy up there horning and saying the same stuff to Anya for example then hed be slated and dragged through the dirt. yes she was pushing patriarchy so much. I was like chill out. Honestly if a book happens to have a man in focus its sexism but as soon as women step into focus its powerful and strong. This show shouldnt be about powerful women but instead powerful INDIVIDUALS on a journey.

I honestly I have zero problem with women saying that kind of thing. She's not treating him like a piece of meat, she's just joking about him being attractive. Which should be fine, in my opinion. The problem is the utter double standard. If a man said something like he'd 100% be branded as a predatory creep, and would be accused of sexual harassment.

Men don't mind being objectified. It's different for guys. If an attractive teacher hooks up with a male student he isn't traumatized but that might be different for a female. Men and women a wired differently.

Al mac I think that’s a blatant generalization, that can be dangerous to say, because of how it ignores the situations of trauma that men experience but is not talked about. I personally think guys have just been told and expected by women and other men to tough out more situations

@@TheOnlyWay2Go. I think that generalization is not 100% true but it is probably true in about 95% of cases. I was in a bar and I was pinned to the wall by a very aggressive woman who shoved her hands down my pants but I wasn't traumatised at all. It was just a fun story to tell my mates. If the roles were reversed a male would probably end up in jail for that kind of behaviour but I think it is different for most guys. I am not talking about priests abusing kids but any semi-attractive female objectifying or aggressively pursuing males. I can't speak for all males but I know I wouldn't be offended.

The amount of comments under certain videos where the guys male comments like 'that lucky bastard' ' she could harass me anyday' or 'why don't I go to a school like that' etc. I was surprised, but the only people who stood against it were women in the comments. I played it off as a motherly instinct to protect while the guys were having some teen hormone surge. This was years ago btw. I feel like more guys now have finally started to realise that these comments make it hard for men who really do suffer and that men can be victims too. Through experience I feel like the reason women are so receptive or sensitive to sexual comments is because they feel unsafe or its demeaning. We attach things such as sex to emotions alot and so comments can come out disgusting or nasty to us than it does for guys. Cause again guys see sex differently. So there you go..there are many factors that determine how women and men in GENERAL respond to sexual comments.

@@almac9203 Still. I'd think there is a line of professionalism and social decency that should be respected during the panel (and in all professional/semi professional environments), for both sexes. Men being expected to uphold the rule of decency to the letter while women can objectify and be horny towards men because men don't feel threatened by it is the definition of a double standard, even if a (usually) harmless one.

I’m three episodes in. Cavill IS Geralt. It’s eerie. Love Anya as Yennefer. She’s really capturing the duality of the character well and I hope she keeps it up. Still not sold on Freya as Ciri, but it’s early on and I’m hoping her character gets a bit more to do. A lot of people are ragging the show for cheesy fantasy dialogue and music, but that’s INTENTIONAL. The Witcher is classic high fantasy. Just embrace it. I respect the producers for not pandering to mainstream audiences. They just throw you right in.
