When we got this, we think the colors looked like he had been through a fire and got a lot of damage causing the discoloring.

All that black on him kinda reminds me of the original diaclone figure before it was ultra magnus. I'd bet that was intentional, considering theyve started including interpretations of the sword from Megatron's diaclone release with his siege and earthrise figs. cuts so deep they're pre-g1.

The writings might mean that ultra magnus in the show goes missing and surrenders to the decepticons and then the autobots presume him as dead. Also I think he might be turned into a decepticon after being exposed to the compound.

I love the Netflix repaints. Unfortunately, my Walmart or any in the surrounding area doesn't sell the Netflix versions. I got this guy and the other ones that I own from eBay.

The box is an ammo box? In those gashes on the box it seems to glow pink: like energon so I'm assuming that this is representing the box that ultra magnus will carry in the show that contain the energon cubes in when he surrenders. That is my theory

That is not the Ultra Magnus I know from G1 or Transformers Prime. Because he will never surrender, he will always keep fighting until his last breath

Found 5 of these at Walmart for the low price of $35 😁, and since I couldn't find the original Siege figure this one will do. I like the dark tone, he can be a Dark Ultra Magnus so it's cool.

I would love this figure a whole lot more if they made the grey look realistically distributed on the figure, like how did he get his antenna things covered in it, but not anywhere else on his head? It looks so randomly distributed as if when designing it they just pointed to random spots and just decided out some here, here, here, and right here. Also a little bit over there

Mabey the play doe and the energon Cubes are a clue to show that they go somewhere on cybertron and find raw energon cubes and use those to fight the decepticons

The text on the box i think is talking about how ultra magnus Surrenders to the deceptcons, and probably joins them since there is the decepticon insignia there the bottom text is probably a autobot assuming Ultra Magnus is dead, UM probably went into battle and never return and potentially joined the cons.

Yet another temptation for me on this mold. For budget purposes I currently have to be satisfied by my Combiner Wars version, but if they ever do anything crazy with this, like either the Diaclone colors or maybe an all new colored armored Optimus Prime, I might have to finally bite.

Why i feel like this time Ultra Magnus will become Nemesis? Perhaps even Nemesis Prime. I mean, his robot mode without armor is basically repaint of Optimus Prime. Perhaps this play doh stuff is supposed to be some weird thing that will cover Magnus and turn him into Nemesis. He surrenders, while Autobots think that he dies. Would be cool, I guess.

Black, energon, no autobot symbol. My guess is the Autobots have lost but Prime refuses to surrender to Megatron. He plans one last mission. A Spec ops team will blow up a Decepticon energon depot while the Autobots escape cybertron. Magnus thinks the war is over and they should just give up, he thinks Prime is going to get all the Autobots killed. Magnus goes to Megatron to trade info about Primes plan in hopes of saving his fellow bots. He can die either a Traitor or a Hero in the energon explosion, but Prime knows the truth and doesn't tell the other bots about Magnus's betrayal

6:29 is seems to imply that is black/dark energon. In the trailer Magnus disagrees on the view of the war with prime,and so he disades to go with the Decepticons and he gets this dark energon. As a proof of Autobots going Decepticon there is Mirage Wich is a Decepticon with some similar black markings on his body. Maybe Optimus is the bad guy, he seems to lose toups to the Decepticon because nobody really likes him,like the fem bot in the trailer. Or dark energon can control everyone and use as husk for a user
