I'm so glad they brought Taggart back. He was sorely missed in Cop 3. What makes this faithful to the original three is someone close to Axel is in danger. In Cop 1, Mike was murdered. In Cop 2, Bogomil got hurt. And in Cop 3, Todd was murdered. And now, Billy is the one in danger. This makes it full circle.

I saw the 30 second tease and was immediately ecstatic in the first couple of seconds. The jump in the car callback, Rosewood and Taggart?! I'd heard this was coming but I had no idea they brought almost everyone back. Surge! Jeffrey! And added Bacon and Gordon-Levitt? They better not let us all down because I can hardly see one negative comment.

The late Kirk Douglas once said that his job as an actor was to make people forget about their problems for a couple of hours. Looks like this movie will deliver exactly that. That movie trailer makes me feel like I will be going on a fun filled adventure with some long lost friends. Jeez, I need that right now. Welcome back Eddie and the Gang. It's gonna be a lot of fun....... PS: Like many other commenters, I wish this movie were released in theaters. You HAVE to watch it on the big screen with a bag of popcorn to get the full experience. I may get a projector to watch it. A computer screen just doesn't feel right......

I do backyard movies on a giant screen I hang in the garage and then we sit just outside it. Definitely doing that for this flick

@@MIKESMOVIECORNERANDMORE It does have something to do with that, movies have become so expensive to make, they need to fill more seats to get their money back. Rating it R just means less seats. So for this movie to be in theaters, they would have to cut it to pg-13, the risk is just too high. And also remember that this series has only become worse and worse, the first movie was a phenomenon, and is a true classic. But the next two, not so much. The third one is pretty much disliked by both critics and regular movie goers combined. So there you have it. I think it's for the best that this is kept out of the cinemas.

The bevery hills cop movies is truly the most underrated movies of all time. They are just so incredible in every aspect and always make me laugh. can't take my eyes off the screen. Especially the first three movies, they were just incredible.

The editing of this trailer is excellent because it includes echoes of what made 1 and 2 fun: chases with ridiculous vehicles, creeping around a mansion with guns looking for the bad guy, and casing a building out where the oil rigs are. Can’t wait for this instalment!

@cosmicmate Yes, many have not been good, you're right about that. But there have been some winners. Top Gun: Maverick, Tron: Legacy, Blade Runner 2049 and Creed were all very solid follow-ups to older films. And while I didn't personally care much for it, a lot of people loved Mad Max: Fury Road, too.

This should be released in theaters first then dropped on streaming. This looks so good, Eddie hasn’t aged, he hasn’t lost a step as Axel. The tone and formula are still there.
