For me the most hard thing to learn in this movie was about the Strauch cousins their kindness and strength for rationing and don’t let anybody know how they did it and keeping it all inside in their hearts in order to don’t make anyone feeling guilty 😢 breaks my heart they were just kids trying to survive 😞💔 the Strauch deserve all our respect and compassion

I read Strauch book. It's a beautiful book about his spiritual feelings over the whole thing. It not much about in great detail what happen up there, there other books with other survivors that explain things in detail. It's more about his inner thoughts about his home and the love and closeness he had with his family

I think that the most precious thing in this life is to sacrifice for others. It's something very human that's why Numa is so special and authentic. Of course the human beings have this animal part, but what make us human is our soul and our true nature is being generous and cooperative with others. It's a pity that they think that Numa should have been more animal and had to accept that. Because the point of this character is that he is the only one (as far as I know from the film) who cared about the spiritual implications that's why his behaviour is so human.
@FefiBurgos
@FefiBurgos 5 ай бұрын
He wasn't the only one that cared about the spiritual implications of eating human flesh! For most of them that was a big dilemma and it was depicted, they had several discussions about it, moral, religious and practical implications of choosing to eat or not. Numa couldn't accept that eating was the only real option they had, as Bayona said, he had to understand his animal side that needed to be fed, but did it so late that he was incredible weak and ultimately died. Not sure why you say "the point of this character": Numa died in the movie because that's what happened to the real person, in real life, it wasn't a choice of the director or the script.

Roberto calling Matias tiny is very cute to me. I’m so glad the actors were able to contact the survivor they played or their families for those who didn’t.

I first knew about this story 52 years ago, when I read front page of the newspapers in 1972. since then I have read all the books, seen the 3 movies SURVIVE 1976, ALIVE 1993 and Society 2024. So transfixed that I even sing the song- Break it all- (the song at the airport scene) on my youtube channel. Its very real for me as I am similar age to the survivors. 💖💖🌹🌹New Subscriber here ✌✌

I saw Alive in school. I really liked that movie, a more "spiritual" take on that story sounds interesting. I'll have to watch it sometime.

It´s really heartbroken to me when Enzo is talking about "how funny was to film the crash moment", I don´t have any doubts had to be funny), to see Roberto´s face at that moment 21:45 ... The scariest moment of his life (probably) was the funniest moment for the actors.... I´m obsessed with this human drama...

I agree with you, it was a bit tactless... But I watched both Roberto and Nando talking about the ordeal and both said that the worst was the avalanche that carried them all under the snow. Enzo's worst day was also filming that scene.
