I understand trying to be empathetic, but in this age there is no excuse. I was raised in Kentucky by racist, homophobic, misogynistic parents. i went to all white super conservative schools and literally was sheltered from meeting a black person until I was 14. If I can get out and learn to think for myself, frankly I think everyone can.

This is true even cults have some people who aren't as brainwashed as others, but it is rare. When you have a relationship with people you care about that have very ignorant ideologies, you become more susceptible to that way of thinking. It's a product of the environment and no it doesn't happen to everyone that doesn't mean everyone is able to change it so easily.

I miss this show so much! This show helped me change my voting direction, by really thinking for the first time and not just following what my parents taught me. It helped change what I thought was an open mind, to really having an open mind. Most importantly it helped me have patience for the people that don't think like me (my parents!). This show changed my perspective entirely. It made me smarter.

Nobody is stopping anyone's access to birth control, it's $9 at Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS and free at community 30,000 community health clinics that don't kill babies and women but do provide pre natal care obstetrical care gynecological care mammograms, and adoption services which planned Parenthood doesn't

You're such an idiot. If you actually used your brain you would very plainly see that the religious right is trying to force their beliefs on the entire country. But the founding fathers were very aware of how brainwashed and fucking crazy religious zealots are, so they made it a point to separate church and state. Not only that but they also did plenty of interviews and wrote papers on the fact that the Constitution was in no way based on any religion much less the christian one. Time to start thinking for yourself for a change. And remember, not your body, not your choice.

When I was in college I was raped at a party, I was in college and poor as well and I needed to continue my education and processing mental trauma, I choose to have an abortion. I choose what was best for my situation at the time.

Don't know why The Dems don't scream "attack on families" or "what about family values": whether it is daughters and mothers or other parts of our community we (I) depend on women filling roles in my life. I want them happy and effective, not sick or worried or just beat down. We literally could not have families without women. This is an attack on all of us by the "Family Values" party. And for every woman who has to wait until the lump is too big to ignore soon comes a grieving man and motherless kids in debt for a lifetime of copays, deductibles, and expenses. Then their credit goes bad, etc. Expensive, just not for the chosen few.

Richards' comment, "repeated by politicians that know better" speaks volumes. When it comes to dealing in misinformation, the source is either ignorant of the facts, or does know them but lies anyway. Neither's acceptable. For a party that's never seen a privatization they didn't like, women's healthcare took big leaps forward thanks to Planned Parenthood. Timing is everything. Just watched a comedy routine that played on...for a group so adamantly devoted to forcing a woman to maintain a pregnancy, it doesn't make sense to be against a method to avoid an unplanned pregnancy to begin with. Gotta love that small government. Government control doesn't come any bigger than forcing their ideas on you. I wonder if folks protesting social distancing while slinging an AR agree on keeping government out of THEIR lives?
