3:07 Their finger glows when they use magic. In the 1982 movie “E.T.,” the little alien healed a boy by making his finger glow. So the finger glow in SGE and the alien’s finger glow is kind of similar and it reminded the actress. Also, the line “E.T. phone home” was said by the alien when he said he wanted to contact his home.

I'm genuinely so happy with the film we ended up with. I know there's always room for improvement, but I loved the unique casting choices and the story overall. Reading the books in my teens, I've waited so long for this movie to become a reality. I adore it so much ❤ Hoping for a sequel 🤞
