I’ve owned the one year before this version and have had it for 7+ years and absolutely love it. All my new devices have connected to this with ease. From security cameras, phones, tablets, tvs it’s just worked ! I would recommend this to anyone.

I picked up the Orbi RBK752, and added a 2nd sattelite to the system since my house is a bit bigger. I've been using this system for about 6 months now and absolutely love it. Best speeds and best service throughout our home ever. Big improvement from our previous setup of a router and extenders.

I have owned this kit for over two years and I love it. Very stable and blazing fast. Now I have moved and need an even bigger coverage but it is impossible to find a used kit or a spare satellite where I live. If not for that I would have kept using this kit. I have ordered TP-Link Deco XE75 3-pack Wifi 6E with 7200 sq.ft coverage. Hopefully this will fix my coverage issues at our new property.

Thanks a lot. very clear and informative. And because of your amazing videos I was able to buy RBK-853. Can't wait to install it in my house..

Hi just watched all of your informative videos concerning mesh routers. Your consistent approach for each vendor makes comparisons easy and understandable (especially after watching so many in a row). One measurement you do not comment on or explain is when the manufacturer lists how many concurrent WiFi connections can be supported. What does the mean for each mesh system performance spectrum. I currently am using a ORBI RBK 50 which says I can have 10 connections however I currently have 36 connected devices (Ecobee Cameras, Thermostat, Nanoleaf Light Bulbs plus phones, ipads and computers). I am considering an upgrade to the Costco ORBI AX5400 RBK763S system with the claim to support 40+ concurrent connections maybe I should purchase a system that supports up to 100 devices and how will that make any difference to WiFi performance. I see you have a packed schedule for testing and informative reviews and I look forward to keeping up on your work hope you have some time to address this issue.

Thanks and good question. The issue is that I have around 60 to 70 devices myself and so far I haven't used any mesh system or router that has had issues with that many devices. I will only mention it, if the mesh or router can't handle the number of devices I have. The real question is not necessarily how many devices you have (unless it's over 253) but how many devices you are using at the same time. Having lots of cameras, smart devices doesn't mean much since they don't take up much bandwidth but if you have 4 computers and they're all on at the same time gaming or something data intensive, then you will probably notices some slowdowns. This Orbi handled all my stuff easily.

How good is it. In terms of buffer streaming related stuff? In my case not as much netflix but more cloud games streamed from the cloud to ones device = cloud gaming

As a router, it's great. But if you're looking to use the Parental Controls, then keep looking. Lots of cases open at Netgear presently and they don't appear to be in any hurry to fix it. Customer 'Service' will tell you to reset the router, and reconfigure everything. That works, but only for 2 days.

Hey great video! Quick question slightly off topic. The Netgear Orbi Pro Ax6000 SXK80 (Business version of the 852) is on sale for $350. Would you buy that or the TP Link AXE5300 aka the deco XE75 for the same price? Or any other recommendations? Thanks in advance
@landpet
@landpet 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I haven't tested that one so can't say for sure. Deco is a great deal even at its regular price. Orbi sounds like a good deal as well for that price but no wifi 6e support compared to the Deco. It's a tough one, I would probably get the Deco

This is what I've been using since it came out, March of 2020 👍🙏 This supports wifi 6 not wifi 6e.
@landpet
@landpet 2 жыл бұрын
It’s great. Yes you are correct. However WiFi 6E is backwards compatible with WiFi 6, you just don’t get all the benefits of WiFi 6E with this mesh since this doesn’t support WiFi 6E

I got a 3-piece unit from Costco for 500 bucks a yr ago. They now sell an AX5700 3-piece unit. This is a solid system, but it's comparable with the ASUS XT8 which is fairly cheaper.

XT8 and this are both good, I think the XT8 performs slightly better than this.

My biggest thing before I set this up is my sowed flopping off 70 percent after a wall with rocks so I'm afraid how it will function. The wall has a doorway hole where should I set up the satellite. Should I directly connect the sat to my TV or my iptv stick. The Verizon router was OK when we furst got it then about 2 months in weee buying repeaters made by Rock space. Doing a test with my ohone the speeds off the router werecteash when the tech cane here I think he showed over 100 but I thought I pay for 500. Verizon always limits us. We're hoping thjs mesh stem helps with thst and the rock wall. Comments pls

have you checked the 763 yet? I was about to get the 753 or the Deco axe5300 but then I saw the new 763. It's rated at 600/2400/2400 vs 600/1200/2400

I had the Linksys AX4200 and it worked well for a year but then it started dropping connections. I just bought the Netgear Orbi RB752 and wow is this fast! I'm using the wireless satellite downstairs to hardwire my PS5 and XSX. I know you have the XSX as well. Can you tell me what your latency is when you hardwire your XSX to the wireless satellite? I'm getting about 60-75 for latency so it's not ideal for FSP. My internet service is 400 down and 20 up like your previous setup. However with the Orbi, I can get up to 690 down and 23 if I'm lucky.

Sounds like very good speeds! I don't have this particular Orbi anymore to test with that as I'm constantly getting new mesh systems but I remember this being a great system especially for the price.

Great video! I have one of these mesh systems, I only get 179 mbps, I am paying for fiber, I do have like 20 devices connected, 2 phones, 2 tablets, ring cameras etc....any idea of why my speeds are low? My home is only 1300 sq ft. Also, my RSSI on ring cameras too high, any ideas?
@landpet
@landpet 9 ай бұрын
Unless your wifi device is old, meaning it's a wifi 5 or lower, you should get better speeds out of it assuming you're close to the router when testing. You can also try a restart of the mesh.

I have the RBK with 3 satellites and get around 800mb to each satellite. Would I notice any improvement if I added MOCA into the mix? I can afford it but would there be improvement? I have Comcast gigabit
@landpet
@landpet Жыл бұрын
I haven’t played with the MoCA 2.5Gbps but in theory yes it should boost you up to near gigabit speeds. Granted the keyword is in theory.

I added MOCA and I do get the full 950mbs to each satellite now and it outputs about 860-900 mbps wirelessly to my Wi-Fi 6 tablet. Worth the investment to me

WiFi is really dependent on how many devices you have on your network, which wifi device you're using as well but I also don't get full speeds with my phone wifi's but more than good enough for what I need it for.

You need at least a 2Gbps connection with as many systems as you test. Going to a local test just isn't the same as testing to an outside server.
@landpet
@landpet Жыл бұрын
I've been considering upgrading to the 2Gbps plan since it is now available.
@Eliminator5555
@Eliminator5555 Жыл бұрын
@@landpet It's your decision. But you'd GREATLY benefit from that tier. On AT&T's 2Gbps per second plan, I actually always got a bit over 2.5Gbps up and down. I know you can still do the local speed tests without upgrading. But it's not quite the same as using a server outside your network. The higher tier would allow you to test to outside severs without maxing out the wireless speeds of the systems that you're testing.

Hey guys. Looking for a good router or mesh system that would be good for a large home. I have an Xbox series x that will be hardwired and camera system. If I need to run a switch I can. Would like it have a 2.5Gb Wan port as the modem has a 2.5Gb port. I was looking at Netgear Orbi AX4200 RBK752 Asus XT8 ZenWiFi Arris W121
@landpet
@landpet Жыл бұрын
If you're internet speeds are 2.5Gbps, then I would consider the ASUS ET12 Pro since that has 2 2.5Gbps ports and you can run wired backhaul and get super fast speeds throughout your home

Hi, after watching your videos I really like the 752, because it's fast and reliable. Last week the RBK752 was on sale for 33% off, and I returned my ASUS XD4 and add 100CAD and bought the rbk752, I can really tell the web ui and app is way worse than ASUS's. Besides from that, the upload speed when I test my RBK752 is actually slower than XD4, although this doesn't matter much but this is weird. When I use the XD4 no matter when I'm right next to the router or the satellite, the upload speed is around 160mbps, but with the RBK752, no matter when I'm right next to the main router or the satellite, my upload speed is 100mbps. I use my iPhone 11 pro max which is wifi 6 device. I connect my computer to the satellite in ethernet cable, no matter the XD4 or the RBK752, the upload speed is around 160mbps. This is really weird, and there's really not much settings in the web page of my router, so I couldn't solve this, do you have any clue? Thanks!
@landpet
@landpet 2 жыл бұрын
The Orbi should be better and faster than the XD4, not sure what’s going on there. Try another WiFi device to see if that’s the issue

I'm from Australia we have shit connection because of the liberals and politics. I have unlimited online connection only get 30 mbps now with this mess router I'm getting 54.5 mpbs 7-9 pings... Is that good or bad because I feel like Australia is the worst country from streaming and gaming also can't use wpa 3 because the crap quality I have I can't only get WPA or WPA 2
