If you watch the netherlands turkiye quarter final you see the referree heavily favored netherlands. Clear 100% penalty, 2 clear 100% red cards and 2 clear yellows not given. Refused to use VAR. Only match with no VAR used at all. The positons were not even being shown on replay. Even the canadian commentators made comments acknowledging it.

I cannot take football seriously anymore. The sport is literally being ruined by the referees! I’m not saying they are corrupted but their judgement is so clouded. For example in the extra time of the Spain - Germany quarter finals, Germany should have been rewarded a penalty before Spain scored, but that referee didn’t want to be known for the one to send Germany(“helping the host country”)to the next round. However, the late goal of Spain made Spain make it to the next round, whereas it should have been a penalty shootout, had the referee whistled correctly. I don’t know how or why they chose those referees, but I think it could maybe be because they have nothing better to pick from. They seem to be a certain type of men and in my opinion exactly not the right type of men for the job. It is ruining the sport!
