This video tutorial shows NethServer 7.4 Installation, Configuration and Overview on Oracle VirtualBox step by step. This tutorial is also helpful to install NethServer 7.4 on physical computer or server hardware.
Steps:
1- Create Virtual Machine on Oracle VirtualBox
2- Start NethServer 7.4 Installation
3- NethServer Initial Configuration via Web GUI
4- Installing Additional Modules: Backup, OpenVPN, Bandwith Monitor, DNS Server, DHCP Server and File Server
5- Creating Additional User
6- Create and Test CIFS/SMB Shared Folder
7- Configure DHCP Server on NethServer

NethServer 7.4 New Features and Improvements
NethServer is a CentOS-based Linux distribution for servers. NethServer has modular design which makes it simple to turn the distribution into a mail server and filter, web server, groupware, firewall, web filter, IPS/IDS or VPN server. It also includes a comprehensive web-based user interface that simplifies common administration tasks and enables single-click installation of several pre-configured modules. NethServer is designed primarily for small offices and medium enterprises. NethServer 7.4 introduces improvements to Samba and Active Directory integration. The new release automatically updates the domain controller and warns on upstream updates. Proxy, web content filter, anti-virus and IPS were updated and got an improved web user interface. In addition, it contains some enhancements. The local Active Directory account provider is now able to apply updates to the Samba DC instance automatically. The latest provided Samba DC version is 4.6.8. Besides local active directory NethServer supports remote AD and LDAP(local/remote). IP changing possible. Account provider changing from LDAP to AD and vice versa is supported.

NethServer 7.4 Minimum System Requirements
- 64 bit CPU (x86_64)
- 1 GB of RAM
- 8 GB of disk space
- At least 2 disks is recommended to setup a RAID 1. The RAID software will ensure data integrity in case of a disk failure

I know you did this video 4 years ago ñ, but this is the best video on how to get the installation going so thank you! the firewall option is it similar to setup to say pfsense or opnsense? it appears that the options once you install can be a little easier to actually work with. I wanted to use on home environment with either snort, suricata or sensei which it works great as far as i can tell. i also wanted to antivirus and Wireguard. Can these be done on the free version and or the $3 a month plan?

Hi...in 12:08 you try and access a share without even adding that pc to the domain you just created (else why create a Nethserv domain after all). And what if that Win client is already in a Win Serv (lets say 2012 r2) domain already. How can he access the additional files created in Nethserver

At 9:47 you choose Active Directory and in the other tab you create a new domain. Yet you put as IP address not 0.200 which refers to your Neth Server but 0.201 like you were trying to join an existing domain controller.... am I missing something here?
