Always be safe around trains. The background audio adds to the grim reminder of how dangerous railways can be if not respected...

I know first hand. I used to be an S&T engineer. I almost got hit by a road railer once but that’s because he was speeding and displaying the incorrect lights. Have to have eyes in the back of your head at all times.

picking ups the track clips or something. Another guy was holding the digger, but then a third guy walked behind in, then back out of it making it look like the original guy behind it had finished and was out of the way.

Hey there, do you have access to a higher quality version of this video? I'd be very interested in getting hold of it if so!

he should never be so close to that machine without informing the driver or the banksman....plus he was a dick for moaning about doin his job......keep ur mind on what ur doin and not wonder if ur worthy of doin a job or not....its too much of a dangerous work place to be so cocky and look what he got....feel sorry for the driver

He shouldn't have to tell the crane driver, it's the crane controller you need to inform, and you should never be that close to any machine on site at any time.

So this is why trains in America blast their horn before moving? Its a good thing they do as that stupid prick could have been mashed quite easily if the driver wasn't quick to react! But the driver is at part fault for NOT sounding the horn to warn people first before moving. So what if the horn is loud and it may hurt that guys ears, but he wouldn't have been crushed like that. Also is it not common sense to look both ways before crossing the track and keep a distance from any vehicle that could suddenly move? Because I would not cross the road without looking first! :/.

it's the protocol for trains when they are ready to go. They sound their horns usually in two or three short bursts from my understanding.

@@aestheticcruise8807 Having worked on the railway myself. The trains in the yard would always sound their horn first before moving. This was implemented after a fellow worker got crushed between two wagons when there was shunting going on.

Depends where he landed if he landed near the wheel which it looked like he did because when something big is moving towards you if it hits you your body will naturally try to move away from the impact meaning it would be likely he would of been crushed by the wheel
