This lesson is 10 years old, on the time I watched this video, the only thing that I see as old is Windows 7. This is an excellent teaching.

I can’t believe how many command line tool videos I’ve watched that didn’t mention the fact that you can put /? after any command to display everything you can do with that command. That would have saved me so much trouble. Thanks for cutting through the bullshit and making my learning process significantly less frustrating and more efficient. I’ll be looking through your videos for more gems like that one, and I’m definitely subscribing for your new stuff. Thanks again and have a great day!

Great! Would be even greater if you added the commands, time in video, and a short explanation of why you are using the command. 8/10 is still way better than a lot. A like and subscription is very well earned

commands discussed in this video: ipconfig/ifconfig, ping, arp, tracert/traceroute, nslookup/dig, netstat/nbtstat, route.
@aHunaHau3 жыл бұрын
There's another command, omitted here, called "pathping". You can take it to a higher level with " Nmap" and other tools ("wireshark") that sniff, crawl and/or do DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) For the experts there is " Kali Linux" for example. Used for Penetration Testing among many other features.

While not commands the nsswitch (linux, and hosts or nis) file are important. You do not need cable to get broadband you can lease a T1 line or a DSL line.
